Between Place de la Concorde and the Arc de Triomphe, this famous tree-lined thoroughfare strikes through the heart of western Paris. The hotel was great - very clean and the rooms were larger than at my hotel in New York. I would recommend this hotel. However, I was traveling with friends and the location was a little bit out of the way from the main attractions. Only a few mins walk to/from Rome Metro Station in Paris. You will find a supermarket down the road (opp. to the Rome Metro station). The room itself was a bit small but very clean, you might hear trains crossing-by at night time. The bed size was good enough as a double-bed. The staff there was ok helpful. Hotel Cervantes is a great place to stay if you're on a budget like we were. Me and my girlfriend stayd there from 22.3 to 26.3 and we really enjoyed it. It's really close to the metro station and the street and general area is very peaceful. We had our room (64) on the highest floor, street side, as far away from the elevator, exactly what I asked […] for. The room was clean and the wifi good. Our soap machine didn't work though. Staff was nice and aswered our questions, we left our bags for a few ours there after checing out and they ecen loaned us a wine bottle opener. Overall a good place to stay assuming you only spend the nights there. I would not pay for the breakfast though. Lisateave

Hotel Cervantes Paris is gem of a hotel in the heart of Paris. It is easy to get to either from the airport or train stations - on the Metro line from Gare du Nord to the Arc de Triomphe. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has excellent free wifi and a nice hot-cold buffet breakfast.

Hotel Cervantes is perfect pied a terre for explorimg Paris by day and night. Close to the buzzy area of Montmatre and really close to Rome metro, everywhere was very easy to get to. The room was super clean and fresh and a good alternative to below par hotels I've stayed in in the St Germain area. The hotel is situated perfectly for going out in Paris. Everything is either within walking distance or a quick ride on the metro (station is Rome). This fact is by far the best about this hotel. pretty disapointed by the location, not really in les champs elysee neighbourhood. Room was big and app. clean but a lot of plastic and beyond the window was a wall... No caracter at all. And on the top of that the internet bandwidth was very very poor (3 minutes to send a 5Mb attachment)...

"Safe Area"
It's a very chic and clean hotel which is a relaxing thing when customer arrives the room. But one thing inconvenient is distance from center though Metro Rome is like 5 mins walk away. If you're looking for a chic and clean hotel I will recommend!!

A bit hard to find initially. Once I got my bearings was able to get around Paris pretty easily. I was always glad to come back to a warm, comfortable room at the end a long day sight seeing.

"Good location, tiny rooms"
This hotel is easy to find (less than 200 meters from the Rome metro station) and the area has a good selection of bistros and restaurants. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly, but as a business traveller I found the room itself disappointing. Firstly, although it had a wonderful contemporay design and was very well maintained, it was tiny. My […] suitcase had to be on the bed as there was not enough floor space to open it and the bathroom was so small that anyone with long legs could not physically sit on the toilet. The basin was so shallow I could not fill the ketle from the tap. The space issue wasn't helped by the fact I had a booking for a twin room and they had given me a sinngle room (obviously noting I was travelling alone but with the resultant loss of other s[pace). The hotel is alos a little close to the rail/metro line resulting in early morning train noise (rumbling) and the plumbing gurgled so much it actually woke me up. The air conditioning was modern but not very effective and I had to open a window to cool the room in November, which felt a little unsafe as behind the frosted window was a rather scruffy courtyard from which my first floor window was very acessible. That having been said if you are a heavy sleeper, just want someone very clean to spend a night in a oood location then this fits the bill. "Great value in Paris"
Not much to say really. Quite bright, young and funky, but bordering on a youth hostel feel. Room was small and bathroom tiny but comfortable and clean. Liked the decor, bed linen etc. Had a safe which was a plus and location was super for long walks around town. Highly recommended budget option - I will definitely go back.

The size of the room is not different from hotel room in Paris. However, the hotel is acceptable if you are not going to stay in your room in Paris.The hotel offers a kettle for hot water, tea and coffee. This hotel is ok.

The hotel was really nice and the front desk ladies very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very small but comfortable. Very close to the metro providing easy access around Paris. We did get a good price off hotels.com not sure if the room would have been worth it for the full price.

"Clean, Friendly, Close to Train (1.5 blocks)"
We had an extremely friendly front desk person. Helped use get to our touring destinations without a hitch. Breakfast was good- great crescents (still thinking about them from time to time- they don't make them like that in NY or as least I have yet to find one) Wont regret your stay!

The Hotel Cervantes was a decent hotel. As noted in the other comments, the bathroom is tiny and the room is small as well. I could almost touch both walls. But that’s not the point. I knew that going into the trip and that was fine with me. After all, when you go to Paris, the room is really for sleeping, right? That is where I had the first problem […] with my room…sleeping. As other reviewers have commented, it is right by a train station. I was lucky enough not to face that station, so it wasn’t bad. The hotel is in a quite area so there isn’t any outside noise. However, there is a ton of inside noise. Every night, one set of room neighbors came in between 2-3am and the doors slam themselves shut. I would wake up every night when they came in. Then, the other neighbors would leave at about 6am… I would wake up again. I could hear conversations through my wall and doors as if I were out there with the people. It is unfortunate. Also, the AC in my room didn’t work that well. I would put the thermostat on 20C (~70F) at night and it would sometimes freeze resulting in me waking up covered in sweat. The next problem was the location. It says it is 300m from a subway station. However, that line runs East/West and will not get you into the heart of the city. It is easier to walk the 2mi to the heart of the city than deal with the subway. And that’s about how far it is from all the sites, 2 miles. While that’s not too bad, it does add up. I typically walk everywhere I go, so 2mi is no problem for me. I was averaging about 12mi/day while in Paris. But with the combination of not a good sleep and 12mi a day, sometimes it is just nice to end your day and go to the hotel, not walk 2 more miles to your hotel. Yes, this does provide a quite atmosphere, but spend the extra money and get a nicer room downtown that will have some decently thick walls and you’ll enjoy your trip more. The Hotel Cervantes is a great place to stay! Very close to rail lines and the undergroud. It has a very modern updates in a very tradional character building. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. I will come here again.

I was in Paris on business and was staying over for only a couple of nights. The room is extremely small and the shower is almost too small to even have a decent shower. If you are a small person under 5feet 7inches, then this may seem comfortable. If you are a big guy like me, then you will feel claustrophobic. "Hotel Cervantes - Clean but dormitory rooms"
We booked for 6 nights at Hotel Cervantes. We paid a lot per night. For that, we got a dorm room. The room was tiny. I know Paris hotels have small rooms, but 6 inches on 1 side of the bed and 18 on the other, plus banging your knees on the wall to sit on the toilet is a little tough for nearly $300 per night. For 2 people plus luggage, it was not a […] place to stay for a week. It was clean and the staff was friendly, although not very informative. Furniture style was dormitory like as well. Not any room to unpack more than 3 or 4 shirts or pants so you end up tripping over your luggage in the tight space. We did like the free wireless internet in the rooms and breakfast was fine and convenient. Location is a little distant from the center of Paris if you like to walk everywhere, which we do. However, there is a Metro stop that was convenient not too far away. I would have rated the hotel more highly if the price had been much lower, but at the price we were paying, it wasn't worth it. I found Hotel Cervantes to be pretty much the perfect utilitarian stop over. Free wi-fi, friendly staff, and convenient transport links, particularly if you're a visting cellist or violinist, as the Rue de Rome is all of a five minute walk away. Would use again.

Hotel room was small, but not bad. Location was near subway station but a long way to walk to most major sights. Otherwise nice and relatively cheap compared to other hotels when we booked.

Spent a week in this hotel. Hotel about a two minute walk from the Rome Metro station. Located on a quiet street which is mainly residential. Had a double room that overlooked the street and had a small balcony. Room was newly decorated with air conditioning, a small refrigerator, hot water cup, and tea and coffee provided. A nice breakfast buffet with a wide variety of food. Only complaint was the food offered never changed through the week. This hotel backs up the the second busiest train terminal in Europe. Not a problem for some of the rooms since they don't face the train tracks. Some of the back rooms face the train track, so there might be some noise. I could feel the building vibrate when the trains were running, but it never woke me up at night. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again. It took us a long time to choose a hotel. We wanted a good location to the Metro, a decent price and room. We were pleased with both. The hotel is one minute from Rome station, if needed there were 2 more stations very close by. One of them very central with several Metro lines. Excellent little hotel. Receptionists very friendly, very knowledgeable & only too willing to help. Room was fantastic. Larger than expected. Main bed was a Queen & 3rd bed was a proper bed rather than a fold out. Bathroom was to a good standard. Onlt gripe was TV only having SKY News & BBC World news as english speaking channels but not an issue if […] your spending all day out sightseeing or touring. Hotel is on a quiet back street less than 5 minutes walk from the Moulin Rouge & less than 10 minutes by taxi from the Gare du Nord train station. After checking the good reviews I booked this hotel but that was not a great idea - very small room, only the bed fit, unless u book the deluxe room - no room service - my TV did not work - hostesses not very helpful and cheerful - the hotel is close to Place Clichy which is a not a safe place to be at night, note the 8eme arrondissement is very […] chic but the hotel is at the border of the 17eme, so u can assume u ll not be at the nice Paris - no soap, no shampoo in the bathroom, small toilet so better to be petite - my magnetic card did not work everytime I used it so I had to go back to the reception to active it again and over again The only good thing are - very clean room - next to Rome tube station which is Line 2 I dont recommend this hotel vraiment . The Hotel Cervantes is very ncely situated to the heart of the City and its a nice and convenient touch to have a small cafe/bistro downstairs. The rooms were nice and clean were a little bereft of the usual bathroom niceties of shampoo etc. The staff were pleasant if not a little distant and the breakfast room is way to cramped. Rome is on the blue metro line, which requires a few extra transfers to the main sites, but not too bad. It's not near walking distance to hardly anything, however, but with the metro all of Paris is close by. A late night taxi from the Notre Dame was under 11 euro. Regarding the train noise, I had an interior room with ZERO view, however, the train […] noise was almost non-existent. The hotel overall was very quiet I thought! I had a single room which was quite tiny and tight, but all the available space was cleverly used to make the most out of it. I did not eat the 15 euro breakfast, opting instead to buy some fresh fruit at a local grocer around the corner and drink the free coffee in the room. Lisateave
