The Georgian Terrace Hotel - Atlanta

The front desk staff are very rude and inconsiderate. The rooms pictured online clearly do not depict the actual room purchased. My bed leaned backward, making an uncomfortable night's sleep. This room and service is similar to a motel.

The location is great at the southern edge of midtown - It was very close to a meeting I had in downtown and nearby to good places for eats and drinks. The bed was great and the large flat screen TV was of high quality. In the room the wallpaper was somewhat torn and the carpet as well. The lobby was in need of updating.

Everything was great! The only problems we really had was 1. The exterior and MB door would not shut securely. 2. The microwave would not work. 3. The elevators were not dependable to be working and were slow. ---but the building is 100 years old so it is actually great considering the overall picture.

Beautiful hotel. Valet service very friendly. Had booked a luxury king suite. It did not have basic necessities like a full length mirror or a mini refrigerator. The newly remodeled bathroom was so incredibly loud between the shower head and the echo that you literally couldn't talk while water was running. I would have brought these items to the attention […] of the staff, but upon checkout they never asked how our stay was. Very sad professionalism. We will find a nicer quality hotel next time we are attending a show at the Fox Theater. Lisateave

I booked this hotel for a 3 night business trip. I arrived at the hotel at 10:30pm. I dropped my car off with valet - $30! I checked in, got my room key and went to my room. I couldn't open the door. The hotel is set up very weird - the handle needs to be lifted UP not down once the key card is inserted. I had to go downstairs, and get someone to help […] me open the door. I knew room service was only open until 11pm, so I picked up the phone to order - there was no connection. The phone wasn't plugged in - it didn't even have a cord. I had to go back downstairs yet again for help. To their credit, the staff was very helpful and kind - she put me in a new room and allowed me to order room service from the reception desk. Other negatives = the bathroom. There was mildew in the tub, and the bathroom floor didn't look too clean. No snack area. It's either room service, bar food, or an expensive restaurant. There is no place (except vending machines) to just get a sandwich. For the price of this hotel, I expected more choices. Positives = The gym is absolutely gorgeous. It is in the penthouse of the hotel, and surrounded by windows so you have a view of the city. This gave the hotel brownie points for me :) Overall, if you are looking for a place to stay in midtown that is not the average chain hotel, but has some character and history to it, this is a good choice. Just be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for parking and food. Lisateave

This a place to which we will return. The location is great, for example for the Fox Theatre and Georgia Tech. The feel of the central facilities and helpful staff is elegant Georgia at its best. Part of the building is over 100 years old, so this does not feel like a "clone" as so many top-scale hotels feel today. Our room was nice, not just a box. […] There is a little (again Georgia style) problem with details such as failure to provide soup and shampoo each day, a large chip in the bathtub that could be covered with a trip to Home Depot and a worn or soiled spot in the carpet in the middle of the entrance area. The bed was amazingly soft and comfortable. The petite suite was anything but small!

This hotel is just about the best buy for the money that I have seen in quite a while. I can't think of anything I can complain about - except, perhaps, the lack of an ocean view.

I really love the way the rooms are made. It is like a one bedroom apartment.

All i have to say is the next time i stay in Atlanta i will stay there

check-in was kinda smooth going, the young man (wish I could remember his name) was not kind and welcoming at all bad attitude,just dont check in past 3 pm if so he's there.The valet staff are rude as well too....they rushes all the customers....this place needs a more spacious front pull up area....very convient to the fox for the play....if this place […] get more friendly people to work here, it will be an enjoyable place to stay Lisateave

Great place to stay, but the service at the restaurant is terrible and so is their menu. I stay there frequently. Good bed and shower and Starbucks downstairs.

The hotel is great. Building architecture and lobby are beautiful. Staff is friendly - we received a free room upgrade. Rooms are clean and spacious. We were even able to walk to dinner. Only disappoint was the view from our room and rooftop pool - was not clean or heated.

Great staff, comfortable, clean rooms...a great find!

Wonderful stay with a luxorious 2 bedroom suite, staff food and service was excellent. wouldhighly recommend this hotel

Great accommodations and helpful friendly staff.

The room was great. We self parked for 25$, you can come and go as you please. We were there for our anniversary , we stayed in a deluxe king. It was spacious, the only complaint was the room toyed warm. W e couldn't get it lower than 75 it seemed. Other than that it was great.

The hotel was MAJESTIC!!! Dead in the CENTER of ATLANTA and was convenient to every place that i went to while i was in town. the VALET SERVICE was Great! (until they broke my key to may but my other key worked fine so i let it slide) Overall the experience was EXCELLENT!!!

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The history and detail to the building itself was breathtaking. We were so happy that we found this hotel it was right across the street from the Fox Theatre and it was better than we could have imagined. Our suite was HUGE!! We will definitely go back.

Great hotel, the location is decent.

Every little thing you ask for from the hotel there was a charge for and they didn't explain anything to you when you checked in we had checked in 3/8/2012 and the service from that time was no good at all

I loved this hotel. My room was awesome (I had a 2 bedroom suite) and the location was great. No complaints at all.

stayed here before, this is the 2nd time I stayed here. nice hotel close to where I was going in downtown Atl. Staff helpful.

Fantastic Hotel. I really don't know how you could find a better place for the money.

Nice bed spacious suit. Dated appliances, furniture, bathroom, wall paper peeling. Tv is up to date. Staff is great.

I loved the Georgian Hotel. Gorgeous lobby and the rooms were pretty. My room was small, but that's fine, I don't need a lot of room for one person staying just one night. They were clean and well styled. The room service however, I have to stay was not great. It was from their Livingston Restaurant: salmon, mashed potatoes and green beans; the salmon […] was overcooked and not a great piece of fish. For the price, it should have been much better. The workout room was spacious and had more than enough machines, weights, etc.. This was my first time to ATL, I would stay here again, but I found out that downtown ATL is not where it's happening, people don't go out downtown. Lisateave

The Georgian Terrace in Atlanta is Right across the street from The Fox theater which I would love to go to and you have great restaurants that are in walking distance. The hotel rooms are spacious and they are like a home away from home. I will stay there again!

The room definitely needed to be updated, chipped paint, old windows, chipped moldings, curtains did not close. Staying on the 16th floor the noise from the wind was so loud it was impossible to sleep.

My partner and I recently visited Atl for a Kelley Clarkson concert at the Fox Theater and stayed at the Georgian Terrace. I have stayed there many times but it was his first. We were automatically upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was exquisite!! Once again as always this hotel blow my mind. Each one is different unlike the shape of the cookie […] cutter hotels. Will ONLY stay in this hotel when in town!! Lisateave

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite and it was wonderful! It was like staying in a apartment. The only complaint was the traffic noise. The beds were very comfortable.

The hotel is terribly overpriced but lacks basic things that are otherwise free these days. We expect things like free Internet (which the hotel had, but blocked various online applications), free breakfast (you have to pay about $15 for a mediocre one), and free parking (it's a whopping $25 just to park there). The queen sized bed was also smaller […] than traditional queen sizes. There was no fridge in the room either. They also have some of the cheapest toilet paper on the market. This hotel seems like a nice place to stay but when it comes to being comfortable, having convenience, and getting things that are provided for free at hotels that charge less than half it falls really short. Remodeled hotel. Very sparse decor and furniture. We had the 1 bedroom suite which was huge but very sparsely furnished and decorated. The bathroom was very cramped, Eco-friendly products which means not enough and very small towels. Clean, but we will not stay again. For the same price we can stay elsewhere with nicer accommodations.
