Very good staff made a three day break here enjoyable but the hotel appears tired/dated and in need of refurbishment. Food in the restaurant is overpriced and not that great....there are better hotels in this group!

Very pleasant comfy room , but a dreadful breakfast experience in terms of speed it didn't seem to matter whether they had two or four staff the delay was the same for only handful of residents.

Well appointed hotel with small, extremely comfortable rooms, on the Copthall side of Hendon. Interesting history, too - it was where the victorious English World Cup team stayed on the eve of the final in 1966. Well worth paying for the cooked breakfast - ours was delicious.

We chose this hotel as it was closest to the venue of a family event and the hotel did not disappoint at all. The breakfast was good (coffee a bit debatable), room a sufficient size, clean bathroom. Couldn't fault it for this price bracket for two people.

Poor service at the bar for food & drinks on arrival, even though the hotel was extremely quiet. We waited at least 10 mins to get served & then about another 20 mins to receive our food, then another 10 mins for condiments to arrive to accompany our lunch. Some areas of the hotel were not very clean. We arrived back in our hotel room at approximately […] 11:30 pm & the room was very cold, I had to wrap myself in a towel off the heated towel rail in order to get warm. Very disappointing, after seeing the beautiful facade pictures of the hotel on the Internet, to arrive to find a large plastic sheet covering the front of the hotel. Disappointing on several levels. it's a good place where to stay. the real drawback is that if you're planning to visit London it's a bit too far from tube. you can always walk to the tube though, it's not that far.

My wife and I stayed at the Hendon Hall for 7 nights in August 2012. Let me preface this review by pointing out that the hotel is located in suburban Hendon and there is VERY little around here to see and do. The only reason we chose this hotel is that my wife's grandmother lives right next door it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The quality of the food in the hotel's restaurant is wonderful and I definitely recommend having a meal there. My only complaint is that the housekeeping was fairly average, they did not replace used glasses, sheets, etc for the duration of our stay. This is a very nice hotel in an area of London that is not close to where the action is in London. However, it is within walking distance of a Northern Line tube station (the hotel will drive you there and pick you up) and it is about a 30 minute tube ride to the center of London. The hotel appears to be undergoing renovation externally as the front of the building is wrapped in a facsimile of the hotel as it normally is. It's very cleverly done and I wasn't aware of any construction work (or noise) during my work week stay. My bedroom was excellent and the location itself very quiet indeed. On a couple of nights I had some […] noisy neighbours who had their TV so loud that the speaker was vibrating. The noise permeated but was easily cancelled out by me switching on the room ac. The breakfast offered is worth a rating all on its own. It was excellent. I never avail myself of the full English breakfast, preferring healthy fruit and muesli instead. Hendon Hall has all the bases covered though and the coffee is excellent too. The evening meals I had were served in the bar area (I didn't use the restaurant so cannot comment on their meals). The meals weren't all that great really. I found them oily in the main. Palatable but not exciting. It is quite a walk from the nearest tube station (Hendon Central on the Northern Line) but the hotel operates a complimentary shuttle service in the morning (it doesn't run in the evening though so you may have a 20 minute walk - take a small map and walk through the residential area - it's really rather nice). Overall, I'd certainly stay there again but I'd probably have my evening meals elsewhere. Lisateave

Expedia said we would have rooms with garden views, but both rooms had a view of the fence. Very pleasant staff. On arrival we were moved to a double room as we had been booked to a twin room. The move was perfect for us. The first room smelt of cigarette smoke so we were pleased. The food was lovely. As it was Easter break my son went on an egg hunt which was his 'high light' for the visit to London. I can't compliment the staff of the hotel enough for making us feel welcome and answering the questions that we had. The room was a little small but was very comfortable, had an iron, a decent hairdryer, excellent refreshments and good tv. Our room was very small but the service was excellent. Included option to order breakfast in bed at time of our choice. The location was ideal for us being just off the A1. The hotel grounds were very scenic but interupted by a local estate. Highly recommended!

This hotel has free parking which is a bonus. Have stayed here many times over the last 10 years, the decor hasn't changed in that time and is looking shabby in places. The rooms are comfortable and have good en suite facilities. Breakfasts are good and the service has improved recently.

The hotel is just off the M1 if you are coming from the north. Easy to find, free car parking. The tube is a good 20 minute walk, we took a taxi back,it cost 6 pounds. Hotel itself was set in lovely area and was of a high standard of cleanliness. Decor was beautiful too. Rooms were comfortable,bathroom could be updated. The hotel is beautiful, clean and very well kept; in serene surroundings and only a short drive away from Central London. When you consider this hotel is 10 miles out of London it is still charging Cebtral London Prices. A large glass of wine and a coke cost £10. I was seated by the greeter, but there was no explanation of how breakfast works at Hendon Hall. Cold food is on the buffet, but hot food is cooked to order. […] Other guests who arrived after me were served before me. I asked for coffee as soon as I sat down, but it never arrived. As I stood up to leave, I was asked if I had ordered coffee, I said that they had taken too long and that I had to leave, the response was Oh.
