"Great Historic Hotel!"
This hotel was wonderful! The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful and the connecting restaurant was fantastic. The beds and pillows were as comfortable as some 5 star hotels I've stayed in too. The street in front of the hotel is the main street for the area and there is a school right next door so there is some traffic noise particularly first […] thing in the morning but it wouldn't keep me from staying there again; I guess you could always ask for a room in the back of the hotel if that is something that bothers you. "Clean, friendly, great location"
I was a little apprehensive at first because we arrived late and they put my daughter and I in a tiny little room with one bed. However, they corrected it easily the next day and new room was great. The service is slow; there was always a line for the concierge, check-out, etc. But once you got to the front of the line, the staff was always friendly […] and helpful. "Annex"
This was our second time staying here. The first time we stayed in the main building, this time the Annex. The annex was noisy, the sheets looked as if they were not changed from the last guest, so we slept on the top sheet. The bathroom was rundown. This annex room was very spacious, which we loved, but they need to keep it maintained if they are going […] to continue to shuffle guests over there. The carpet could use some cleaning as well. Loved the flat screen tv on wall. Internet could use better connectivity. All in all it was not as horrible as some of the more upscale hotels we've stayed in. "The Chestnut Hill Hotel...a pleasant surprize"
From the ease of parking in the rear to the quaint carefully remodeled accomodations, my experience was delightful. The hotel is clearly older with smaller rooms and refurbished decor but the staff was friendly; the bed was comfortable and everything was crisp and clean. My room was prepared for my arrival with the temperature just right, lights and […] TV on. The adjacent restaurant though not gormet was tasty, reasonable and attentive.The neighborhood offered a chance for an early morning walk to the bakery for coffee (no coffee in the room) and tables on the hotel porch to read the paper. "Chestnut Hill Hotel"
We arrived at 2 am and we were treated with such concern and care. We were so hungry and Bob who was working the front desk brought us pastries! The following morning, we wanted Fiji water and the hotel manager, Troy walked us over to the market to find this water. Because it was not available in the Farmers Market next door, he actually drove to CVS […] drugstore and picked up 14 large bottles of water for us. My daughter was ill and he asked two times if he could pick up medicine for her. We have never been treated with such care and concern. We felt like we were famous movie stars and were getting treated like platinum! Our room was cleaned beautifully and they folded and organized all of our things.
