Room for 3 was spacious and the view was superb. Even though we were not facing the Tokyo bridge directly but there was tons of space for fresh air. Surrounding neighbourhood was great. One thing lacking is that there is really bad air conditioning in the room. The weather was chilly then we were there, hence, we could open our balcony windows if we felt stuffy. However, it was rather disturbing at night and it was hard to get to sleep when we start to sweat. Pls work on this and the rest are all good. Hard to get a spacious hotel in Tokyo hence you could love this if you're looking for a great deal of space especially for a family vacation. Lisateave

I booked this hotel because it advertised a pool which I knew would greatly help when traveling with kids overseas. Nowhere did the website say the pool was for 18 and over only. This was a huge disappointment for all. I spent well over what I would have normally. Ah well. Price of travel. The staff was not helpful when approached for recommendations […] for tourbus (the one I found they said was closed and they did not recommend another although I later found other options). For dinner, they only recommended the hotel restaurants. I knew there would not be wi-fi in the room, this was a bigger issue than I anticipated for me and in retrospect, a fault given the price I spent per night to stay. Awesome hotel, good skyline view of tokyo if you have a city view, only reservations its a bit far getting into cnetal tokyo, its about 600yen a return ticket from shimbashi subway and 30mins additional travel time to get into central tokyo. otherwise great hotel

Big rooms, rare in Japan . . . king-size bed. . . great view of water, bridge and Tokyo tower. Quiet, and out of the city but five minutes by rail. Staff speaks English, good bar and breakfast . . . probably want to have dinner in the city as it is quite expensive. Overall a great stay!!

The Daiba area has lots to do with Aqua City and Diver City near by - plus great views of Tokyo. But its quite a shlep into Tokyo central areas like Shibuya. The hotel is huge and services there are quite expensive.

Great location and good hotel. Lack of wifi in room, English TV programs and the closure of the not so well equipped gym on one of two days is however below the expected standard. Besides above I can recommend this place, especially for people looking for a nice stay not too far away from Haneda airport (15 min).

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff was wonderful and for the most part spoke English. The hotel seemed very popular with foreigners. Several excellent restaurants with guest specials and wonderful service. Kid friendly and a short walk to some great destinations including the Miraikan. We'll be back!

Really near Daiba station, the staff and facilities are top-notch. A 20-30min train ride from Tokyo station, it might be considered a little distant away from the main city. It makes a good hotel if you plan on exploring areas around Odaiba such as Venus Fort, Diver City and Aqua City. On top of that there is a limousine bus service to the 2 major airports […] and free bus trips to Disneyland/Sea to and fro! Surrounding neighbourhood is shopping complex good for young generations. Taking train from ODAIBA sta. to central Tokyo takes 30-40min., so not inconvenient. It seems that many of the rooms have balcony.

Everything was almost perfect except no in-room wifi. Have to go down to the lobby everytime I have to check e-mail. I even got in-room wifi in a 3-star hotel in Ho Chi Ming City. That is quite backward for a almost 5-star hotel in Tokyo. Although not in the main part of Tokyo (you have to cross the bridge for that) I found the hotel a great place to stay. The room was comfortable and had all the things you needed, the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the metro that allows you to get to the main part of Tokyo so it wasnt an issue to get to the heart of Tokyo. Hotel staff were more than […] friendly, always willing to help. If staying at the hotel ask for a bridge view as the view from the bridge side is spectacular. If you want a hotel thats right in the heart of Tokyo with all he madness going on then this isnt the one for you. There's 3 large shopping centres all within a very short walk of the hotel so there's lots to keep you entertained, also there's plenty of eateries within these centres (Starbucks also). Also always buy coffee and meals outside of the hotel as its much much cheaper. I would say though that after 10pm there isnt a great places to go in Daiba (where the hotel is) so you would have to get the train into the main districts. TV is the hotel is all Japanese apart from CNN so dont think you can relax and watch TV unless you speak fluent Japanese!!!! All in all it was a great experience, lovely hotel, great staff. We'd have given the highest rating in every category except that the carpet in our room was noticeably stained everywhere. Everything else about the room was great. The bedding and bathroom were stellar. The staff was impeccable, the location was very convenient to our needs, and access to the airport was excellent. We loved how clean and smoke free our room was. It was hard to find a place in Tokyo that truly smelled clean of cigarette smoke but this did well. Also, the room was very large and well set up with wet bar. And the view was just fantastic. There were stains on the carpet, but it is a light color and I would bet that all hotels have the same issue, […] you just can't see it on their darker carpets. The breakfast was very good as well. Nice location for me, not too crowded, next to Aqua City shopping mall and big room (for Tokyo std). Must book the rainbow bridge view. Hotel just next to metro with cover passage, but connect to exchange Shimbashi to other major places is a bit expensive (310 yen per way). Don't take taxi unless in urgency, very very expensive. We really enjoyed our 5 nights at the Hotel Nikko.The location has beautiful views of Tokyo and the Rainbow Bridge. Staff know very little English which can be at times a little frustrating but really its no big deal. Just be patient and eventually the message will come across or they will find another staff member to help. Keep an eye out for the French […] concierge. He has excellent English and is very helpful. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed and they are the most helpful people I have ever encountered. Nothing is too much trouble and every staff member will smile when they see you. Its really a lovely experience.The restaurant food was expensive but very nice. Room service meals are somewhat smaller that expected and they will place beef and fish on the one serving plate (important knowledge for fish eating vegetarians as the meat juices mix with the fish). Breakfast was nice but everything was a bit too salty for me but hubby found it to be ok..The food is the same daily which after a couple of days gets a bit boring but its well worth a try though as you get to eat Japanese or Western style food.The rooms are roomy and kept beautifully clean. The beds are quite hard but bearable. No English speaking TV is available which was somewhat disappointing as I'd become ill and was unable to leave the hotel room for a couple of days. Overall we loved our time at Hotel Nikko and will happily stay here again on our next visit to Tokyo Lisateave

I have to agree with most of the reviews that I read before booking, that this is a great hotel for location and view if you get the ocean view. The views from our balcony of the rainbow bridge and Tokyo were spectacular, especially at night. The shops and restaurants nearby were also terrific. I would recommend Bills just down the street within walking […] distance for a great place to eat and meet friends. But beware, you may be standing in line for a while. The hotel is an older hotel thus the 4 for condition, but it is well maintained and the staff was friendly and accomodating. We had rented a phone before leaving for Japan and just as promised it was waiting for us at the front desk. We got there at around 8 am so we couldn't check in yet but they took our luggage and when we were able to check in around 3 the bags were in our room waiting for us. The Hotel is set in a very convinient place next to Odaiba station and has several department stores right next to it (including Aqua city and Decks Tokyo beach, a bit farther Diver city). I really enjoyed staying here on my recent trip to Japan. It looks elegant and clean, the staff is very nice and many of them speak English, my room was a nice size with a comfortable bed, the view from the balcony of my room was amazing, and there are several built-in restaurants for your convenience. While not free, one of the restaurants does provide […] a western breakfast buffet starting early in the morning which I found convenient a couple times. The hotel is located on an island and requires a small commute to the heart of the Tokyo area. You're looking at about a 10-15 minute train ride to get to the nearest station where you can transfer to JR East or private lines. For me that wasn't really a bad thing. It was nice being a bit away from all the Tokyo hustle and bustle. Odaiba is relatively quiet and peaceful, its beautiful and is not without its own things to see and do. There are two really nice malls within short walking distance that offer, along with shopping, plenty of dining and gaming/entertainment options. There is even a Joypolis located there. You see plenty of natives around the area as well so its not just a big tourist hub (something I was concerned about before I arrived). If you plan to travel around Japan a lot, I'd advise to you to plan your days so that you minimize your trips back and forth from the island. A JR Pass won't cover your Yurikamome fare so you will have to pay every time to venture away from the island and come back. Lisateave

Two complaints about Hotel Nikko Tokyo, which really hold true for most Japanese hotels, the restaurants were far too expensive and there wasn't enough trash volume inside of the room. Otherwise the hotel was great. The room was big enough for our 5 day stay, the bathroom was large, the provided soaps and shampoos smelled great. The staff were professional […] but also came off as friendly. English was questionable coming from the desk clerks at times but they understood what we were saying. The concierge of course was fluent. We didn't opt to pitch in the extra cash for the opposite side of the hotel with a view of the bay, I recommend doing so, but the view of the rest of Odaiba was still good and having a small balcony in every room is just great. If you're venturing into the city it's a bit of a hike to the more logical train station although there is one right next door. Close to some good shopping and convenience stores. Overall a good place to come back to after being agitated by Jamaicans in Roppongi. Lisateave

The hotel was a little out of the way on Odaiba Island. You have to take the train to get there but the train stop is right in front of the hotel. It could not be more convenient. The staff were wonderful, providing us with extra help in finding the places we wanted to visit. The setting was very romantic right on the water!

Hotel Nikko was splended in my humble experience. We had a room that was just perfect in so many ways and positioned in the central part of the hotel with a perfect view of the whole of Tokyo Bay. There was also a late night drama in the alfresco dining restaurant which we could not exactly make out if it was a drama played out for tv show or a sad […] tiff amongst friends. All in all the ambience, the efficiency and the condition of the hotel was faultless. Hotel Nikko is located on an island off Tokyo. This allows the rooms to be a little bigger than normal. The cost of this is that you must take a conveniently located public monorail to get to the rest of Tokyo. So, this hotel is ideal if a part of your itinerary includes the Panasonic building, the onsen, or the Joypolis amusement park.
