The restaurant is dreadful. It is limited and boring food, witheverything served with chips and if you want vegetables instead you have to pay extra for them. Lobby and restaurant decor horrid. Nowhere pleasant to eat decent food. Hotel itself was reasonable in terms of rooms though.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The only thing that slightly disappointed me as I thought the breakfast was expensive for what was offered. But apart from that very happy with every aspect of my trip.

A super convenient place to stay for the Hopman Cup at the new Perth Arena - just across the road. A great location to meet friends for a drink before the game. New decor & comfy beds in our room it was a little bit squishy in the bathroom between the toilet and the shower - if you are tall you would bump your head!

The hotel was currently undergoing a refurbishment, and our room had been refitted. It was one of the first times that the room looked like the impressive picture on the website. Poorly maintained hotel. Had plumbing issues that maintenance had to address basically on arrival. Had issues with the air conditioning that was not working on the hottest night of the year. Called reception about it twice and their response was appalling. I was told they would call me.back in 2 minutes both times and both times never received a call […] back or even an offer to change rooms. Disappointing start to the new year Lisateave

Very nice room. Staff helpful. Thought Valet parking was expensive, Room would have liked cleaned in the morning before lunch not 3pm in the afternoon, but all in all a very enjoyable stay and would stay again when i am in Perth

Whilst the bedroom was very comfortable and nicely decorated, there was no view to speak of. That is probably more to do with where the hotel is situated. Easy walking distance to all you could want to do in Perth. Hotel is still finishing off renovations, bar is due for completion next week. Biggest fault for me was having to pay for wifi. Unfortunately the renovations of the new hotel have given it a bathroom/toilet that has NO soundproofing that is everyones dribbles and drops can be heard across the whole room when someone is using the toilet facilities due to the door being a 3/4 door and not a Full door. Otherwise the hotel is very convenient to all business districts of Perth and […] to the new Entertainment Arena (just opposite) as well as just over the footbridge to Northbridge and all the fabulous dining and entertaining areas that has to offer at night, also only one block from the free round town bus which goes past all the shopping malls several blocks down the road and a few blocks from the local train station at the time of the visit it was still being renovated and should be finished by end of December but have to look for onstreet parking or pay over $20 per night for parking station Lisateave

Currently undergoing a renovation, the hotel is juggling between floors, but doing it very well. The standard rooms are small but useable and tidy. Front counter staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Dining Room service was wanting. Advertised wine not available(was told 15 mins after ordering).Offered alternative wine at 50% dearer. Steak was tough, raw and cold. To top the whole experience off, I was then charged for parking, when my car was where I had left it in the street.

My wife and self were very happy with the accommodation. Very pleasing to receive an upgrade on our arrival. Renovations were in progress on our stay but the noise was minimal and didn't bother us.The staff were friendly and helpful. We found the bed extremely comfortable. The only thing we could find fault with was the shower screen was perhaps a little […] short in length letting a considerable amount of water to escape onto the floor outside the shower. Having said this, there was plenty of hot water and the water saving shower head wasn't one that tries to dig holes into your body. Ha Ha. All in all it was a top stay. Lisateave

The Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was the fact that they are renovating and we had no idea (this should be placed on the website). We were placed in a room directly under the floor they were renovating on and heard constant drilling and banging. Great location. Room was fine and bed comfortable. A small mix up over parking but we were not charged for this, so overall a pleasing stay with Citigate. We will stay there again, especially with the specials offered by Expedia making it very economical.

Deluxe room was nice enough. Biggest issue for me that ruined overshadowed anything that might have been good about the place was that they have the worst air conditioning of any hotel I have ever stayed in. It was close to 40 Degrees outside and I initially thought that it was broken in my room but the staff were treating it like it was normal. I went […] to three other floors and checked and all of them were the same as my room. No air comes from the vent and their system can't keep up with the heat. Other gripes are the water pressure was weak, they are building a stadium across the road from the place with work starting at 7am. I also asked to leave my bags after I checked out o Sunday and was told they would be left in the store room. When I returned 5 hours later they were in the same spot out in the open I left them. It was a different girl behind the counter and when I just walked over and grabbed my bag no one stopped me and checked if I had a bag tag for them. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Lisateave

Easy walking distance to CBD, easy, yet longer walk to NIB stadium...central location, helpful, friendly staff, clean room, bathroom needs a refurb, but still useable and clean. needs free biscuits to go with your morning coffee! Pool nice and clean and warm...could not fault it for a one night stay in Perth!

I stayed at Citgate, and with a 3 night stay got a great rate. My room was spacious and well appointed, if a bit minimalist. The lobby was also nicely decorated, but smaller and less grandiose that the Duxton or Hyatt, for example. Service was first rate, with friendly and helpful staff that go the extra mile. The free internet in the business center […] was also very helpful. Overall, very nice and an outstanding value compared to the competition. If you need a gigantic opulent lobby, this isn't the place, but otherwise an excellent choice that I recommend. Lisateave

The Hotel was very good and the room rates were reasonable, the only thing which I feel could be improved is the menu for the evening meals, it was quite pricey, and very limited, only three choices for a main course, we only ate there on one evening, and didn't think it worth dining there again.

The lobby looks great and the rooms have obviously just been redone/renovated, but this hotel still has remnants of an older facility: -plumbing is questionable - water would spray and make weird noises when faucet was turned on -toilet did not flush well unless held down for a long time -fitness facilities are on the roof basically and it's a tiny […] room with 1 treadmill, 1 bike, 1 elliptical and a bench press... let me just say that one person was running on the treadmill and it sounded like the whole roof was going to cave in... that room should NOT be marketed as a fitness facility -pool is also on the roof (it was too cold to swim so I did not try) but it looked like a kiddie pool -drinks in lobby bar were tasty but the food that I tried was not good at all... didn't seem fresh (hotel is never great though) -received a wifi code that I paid for and it did not work... had to stay on the phone with their IT support to get me connected to the internet via WiFi for over 40 mins! Cable internet in the rooms worked fine... -The best thing about my hotel stay was the $4 coffee in the mornings (but then again, coffee in Australia is great! Starbucks better hide...) I will be going back to Perth again for work and will NOT stay at this hotel again. Lisateave
