This was a great place...friendly staff....if taking a cruise perfect place..parking garage is next door and a shuttle to take u to boat.. everything is close or a cab is cheap...

This is a very convenient place to stay while attending a meeting at the convention center. It has a fitness center and a breakfast dining room that I liked a lot. I was there for such a short time that I did not get a chance explore it much, for example I don't know if it has a restaurant. The staff were most helpful and polite and the room was comfortable […] and clean. Quiet, too. I spent most of the morning working on a presentation and was not disturbed by street noise, even though I was on the second floor and faced the convention center, or plumbing noise or people in the hallway. The hotel was very clean, rooms, common areas, and the eating areas. We went for Jazz Fest. It was a great location because it was quiet but still close to everything. Short walk to the river walk, Decatur, Canal, Boubon, and the French Market.

Very Clean and pretty quiet. Staff was super friendly and helpful with sightseeing tips. Bed blankets could have been a little fluffier.

Hotel was just OK. Very Friendly Staff and Clean. Does Not Offer Much in The Way Of Amenities. No Restaurant, Room Service, Mini-Bar, Tourist Desk etc. So I had to Plan Sight Seeing Myself. Right Across The Street from Convention Center, but Not Close to Much Else. Area was Creepy at Night.

With the location directly across from the convention center you could couldn't ask for anything better. The rooms were spacious and well lit and even came with a fridge that allowed me to keep a few drinks and some food cold. I'd stay here again in hear beat.

Good location to walk to French Quarter, French Market area. It would have been helpful if the staff asked if this was our first time in New Orleans and suggest some "local" points of interest (besides the French Qtr, French Mkt) like events going on, tips to get around, popular restaurants, etc.

I just finished a six night stay. The Hyatt Place is just across the street fron the Morial convention center and it was really convenient for going back and forth to sessions. The room was spacious and clean, with the best desk chair I ever remember in a hotel room. My room had a nice shower but no bath, which I missed. The breakfast was good. Be prepared […] for a hike if you want to find good shopping or interesting restaurants; there's not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel but if you're up to a 20 minute walk you'll have lots of choices. We went on a swamp tour which the hotel staff arranged for us, with pickup at the front door. All in all a good stay. Lisateave

Hotel was nicely decorated but coffee shop right at front made it seem more like a Starbucks than a nice hotel entrance. The staff was very friendly and the one time I had to use the computer/printer area, I had no problems at all. Breakfast included was nicely presented and the staff was great. Would have been nice if fresh fruit was really freshly […] cut instead of frozen. The room size was good and the bath was clean. Room temperature was easily adjusted and heat kicked right in. However I would like to see more fluffy bed linens. I stayed at a Marriott the night before on a Hot Wire booking of less than one hundred dollars and the bed, sheets and comforter were fabulous. Just the kind of touch needed while away from home. At this hotel, I expected a lot more as it was almost three times as much without the added pleasantries. Would also like to see some guarantee the drinking glasses in the room are actually clean and sanitized. Cannot get the investigative footage out of my head where cleaning staff washed glasses with same items used to clean sinks and toilets. Lisateave

Overall, a good value for the price. Hotel was conveniently located (directly across the street from the convention center), several great restaurants within walking distance. Nice breakfast buffet!

The location was perfect. We were within walking distance of the harbor, museums, the French Quarter, wonderful restaurants and cafes. The Trolley was a block away. Located in a nice, safe, quiet neighborhood.

It was a great stay! The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect to get to the French quarter and to get away from it at night. Rockin Sake (awesome sushi!) was right around the corner. The breakfast had a great selection and was great for my kids, too. My overall stay was ok. The front desk staff wasn't very warm or friendly. During our entire stay they didn't promptly notify the valet person when we requested our car each time. Our wait was between 15-30 minutes each time. They was never an apology or reason as to why they failed to notify the valet staff promptly. My family was made to feel as though […] we were causing them to be inconvenienced. In my opinion the front desk staff was rude and unprofessional . I highly doubt we will stay at another Hyatt Place. I believed this chain of hotels had a higher standard of quality prior to my visit. However, I have since changed my mind on this. I've had better stays at lesser hotel chains. We chose this location for convenience, quality, and distance to downtown events . Lisateave

Perfect hotel for getting on/off cruise ship. Can easily walk with pull luggage. Also great location for visiting French Quarter and catching streetcars to Garden district. safe to walk around at night. Friendly staff, clean, nice rooms and quiet. Breakfast is basic, but okay. Very reasonable price.

It was very nice. Walking distance to French Quarter. Adjacent to RiverWalk. Parking was a little weird, we were going to do valet parking but the parking attendant told us it would be cheaper to self park next door in the garage. Appreciated that hint, probably saved us 30 bucks. Breakfast was good, but it was very crowded and tables filled up quickly […] after 8am. Also, food ran out quickly. Guests were like vultures, swooping in to grab food as soon as it was put out. So my recommendation is to get to breakfast early. We would stay there again. Lisateave

Great hotel, i think i heard them say they were opened at least a year. Its across from the convestion center. Good for business people staying there. I actually chose the location as I was with my children and didn't want to deal with the foot traffic of the french quater. We took my kids to the near by childrens museum which was awesome as always.Upon […] arrival the person whom checked me in asked if i wanted a higher or lower floor room. VERY important for me as other NOLA hotels say this but never deliver on their promise. As promised i got a room on the 8th floor, the highest floor and was facing the river and bridge at dusk the view was beautiful! The bathroom was nice, the beds were very comfy and not too hard, pillows nice. I will say the interior as you look up from the breakfast area reminded me of an old winter ski lodge with ALL the wood looked a little dated. But if they are new to town perhaps working on updating this area of the hotel. They had complementary breakfast. As the rush came in around 8:30AM for breakfast they started to run out but, redeemed their self fairly quickly and replinished. Compared to some other hotels with complementary breakfast. They didn't have quite the variety and selection. Breakfast overall was good and checkout was super smooth. Valet was a little high here other places in the quater. I would recommend this place. Great for the convention center great hall B. Great complementary breakfast and free Internet. The front desk people were very helpful. The 3rd floor breakfast area can be loud.

First complaint was that you had to pay for parking. You either valet parked or self parked in an close by parking garage. Breakfast was advertised as being a full breakfast. You had hunt for a plate, glass and sliverware, if you were lucky to find that good luck on getting any food for they were out. So you would like a table to wait for food but they […] were all taken by people waiting for food. Go get a cup of coffee and wait it out but the coffee was out they brought out one pot and it had grounds in it. I have had better breakfast at less expensive hotels. This was the worst ever! Felt very safe, lots to do for all ages. Hotel staff friendly and helpful with all questions. Accommodations clean, good breakfast, hotel car service wonderful since you we be walking everywhere. Bring your walking shoes, young and old had a great time.

We loved New Orleans; loved this hotel; and will definitely come back. We would have extended our stay, but the hotel was booked (Spring Break) and even though we are seniors, we enjoyed the young people, who were lovely.
