It is worth the money you pay, don't expect too much. The condition and cleanliness of the room is just average. The front desk is not efficient at all. My friend had left some important information at the desk, asking it to be conveyed it to me. Which was not informed to me at all.

Walls shut out highway noise relatively well - I use earplugs to sleep. Yes, us sensitive types still hear & feel trucks and trains. Our group had 3 rooms and included 2 mobility challenged people - so needed taxi service for meetings on Capitol Hill. Weekday mornings call not less than an hour ahead of your meeting. (That doesn't count the time security […] may require wherever you're headed.) The Desk also recommends sending one of your party to flag a taxi off the street - worked very well on weekends and evenings. Breakfast: If you want with fiber or non-gluten, bring your own - the juice, milk and condiments are ample. The in room frig upgraded our options for snacks, milk-in coffee, late meeting/early happy hour drinks -- offsetting the fact that restaurants were a (not too expensive) taxi ride away. Basically good, but the location is not convenient for those people without car. And it is dangerous walking outside. However, I like the room. It is clean and big.

I was visiting Washington, DC on business, so I didn't need to spend that much time in the hotel or the area since my convention was in the downtown area. However, I wish I had known a couple of things prior to my visit. Like how close the hotel was to the Railroad. It was hard to get a good night's rest for my conference when I'm being serenaded by […] trains' arrival and departures not to mention the building shaking! Acoustically, you can hear everything which wasn't great, either. And my first morning there, the electricity went out for about 5 minutes (glad I already showered and it was daytime!...:) The area was too warehousy and if you're a woman (or a guy for that matter), you wouldn't feel safe leaving or coming back to the hotel after dark. The hotel needs an upgrade, but the room was clean at least and the guy at the desk was very nice. Leaving in the morning actually did take me about 15 minutes to get to the Train station which was good, but there was a lot of construction in the area, so there were a lot of detours. There are really no eateries or conveniences near the hotel since its very close to highway. The customer service was good, I probably wouldn't stay here again, unless I was really desperate. I was on a field trip with 12 high schoolers. It was a nightmare getting to the hotel from the metro. Nobody told me that there was construction going on so getting there from the Galludet Metro stop was very difficult. I had called a few times for logistics and not once was it mentioned that hotel was on a highway, and that the walk from the metro […] was sketchy at best. The "breakfast" consisted of stale bagels, front loops, and mini donuts. Icky. No place to buy water either. The staff was friendly enough, but not particularly helpful. Also, when the metro started up in the morning my room shook so much that it woke me up. Hotel might be ok for those just passing through, but do not stay there if you can help it! Lisateave

Staff was very friendly, price was low and the location was right next to our Wednesday appointment. The neighborhood was not the best but the staff has no control over that. The staff was friendly and accomadating. The room was clean and well kept.

The room was clean. The staff was nice. Saturday is a party night at this Hotel. The room behind us had people singing until 4am. The room in front of us jad a party going on. The neighborhood isnt that safe. Also the road in the front has heavy traffic and alot of congestion going to the city.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, however we were hoping to walk into yown but this was not possible as there was no sidewalks either side of the hotel. There are plenty of taxis passsing by to get you into town. It was good value I would stay there again

There is no crosswalk to the hotel over a very broad road, so you pretty much have to risk your life to get to and from the hotel :) The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and not small. The wifi connection in the room was bad, but it supposedly isn't in all rooms becuase they have a new high speed internet connection in all rooms.. […] The breakfast also hardly deserves the name, but it.s better than nothing. The room was a good price but when we arrived it was on a 4 lane road so getting in and getting out was a pain. Breakfast had stale food and the televisions have universal remotes so dont plan on watching a dvd for the kids. Great location to visit the city and there are plenty of eateries so you wont pay a lot in driving around for food. The hotel staff was very polite and the room was very comfortable. It is not even very far from the Metro trains. There was even a taxi offering me a ride to take me to the bus station the next morning.

The hotel staff were super helpful giving directions of D.C. Both hotel clerks knew phone contacts for taxi companies and super shuttles to Dulles Airport. They were more than accomodating when my hair dryer stopped working to find a second one for my use. The air conditioning was set for 70 degrees as soon as I entered the room. The stay was overall good for what it was worth. I was hear visiting colleges and sight seeing and I've also been to this hotel before. The room seemed to be clean, the TV was on the fritz, and I spotted a couple roaches out of the alarm clock. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was quite nice, not to mention free parking and internet. Very good value for the price. We walked daily to the Metro Station which was about a 15 minute walk. Hotel was ok for what we paid for...although I had to worry why there was a bullet proof glass separating the staff from the guest....their were indivuals that partied all night....but i guess that was ok since we were getting in late most nights anyway...The bathroom wasn't that clean so we went to the front desk to get bleach to tidy up a bit...overall […] it was ok and if there was no other hotels available in the area I would stay at this one. Other than the shower's poor water pressure, the stay was quite nice, the staff is very curtious and responsive. The hotel is within a convenient and inexpensive cab or Metro ride to all the sites.

Train runs by right in back of this motel. Room size was OK but only it's location was close to tourist attractions but I am certain there is better places nearby. Also, their pool was out for renovation and this was during the heat wave. We were disapointed at the breakfast offering which was minimal. I think this chain is on it's way down.

Don't book a hotel if you can't see a pic of the outside... the rooms pics make this HoJo look a LOT nicer than it is. We had 2 rooms- phones didn't work, outlets are so old whatever you plug in falls right back out, only 1 safe worked. It was clean but scary. Can't complain, although the pool was not open, nor did it ever seem to be. We were supposed to receive a 20% on a Segway tour, which was not honored. The fault of Hotels.Com. They claimed no knowledge and the offer disappeared from their site so there wasn't any way of proving it, even though I had printed the information. If there had been no hair and old blood stains on the sheets I'd have felt better! Attempt to keep clean def. there, though. Condition of hotel leaves to wish for, esp. for the price! Very friendly staff though.
