Crimson Hotel - Manhattan Beach

The Crimson Hotel is an older, two story hotel that desperately needs upgrades. One person ran the front desk and another person did all the housekeeping. Don't call the front desk and expect service, bc it won't happen. Breakfast was the same all three days- cold cereal and juice. It is close to LAX and major highways.

We enjoyed it. It's nice and clean. The only thing I would complain about is that they are kinda stingy with the towels and the breakfast was not very good.

Older faded property whose main advantage is that the beach is 1 mile away . . . and the price. Airport shuttle is nice. Internet in room is sporadic . . . and frustrating at times.

Strangeplace to put a big window; right over the bags of laundry in the hall. Never did find the TV remote.

Nice location close to beach. Also, underground parking is excellent. For price good hotel.

Disgusting from A to Z... Don't waste your money on this seedy hotel. Dirty and filthy room, absolutely hated it.

The pictures are a bit deceiving but the stay was comfortable and it was clean.

This hotel situated at a nice area. It's closed to the beach. But it needs some major upgrade with its furniture & other equipment. But their breakfast is very good. The free shuttle bus to the airport is efficient, too.

Older hotel, but well kept. Lower level parking was convenient with elevator nearby. Heated pool and hot tub. Our lighting problem in room was quickly addressed. Beach is not within walking distance, but a quick 5 minute drive gets you to the pier. We would stay there again.

I stayed there for a last minute business trip and was totally satisfied. Staff is really friendly and the rooms are great considering the price range.

The room was clean & had everthing I needed...just a couple things it is outdated & when I turned the shower on ants came out...eeek. Front desk nice.

The entire room smelled like man's cologne and smoke. All of my clothes acquired the smell as well. It was TERRIBLE. There were ants in the bathtub. The fluorescent lighting in the bathroom was terrible.

It was close enough to walk to the pier but not so close to deal with the traffic

The hotel was covenient and it was quiet and easy to rest.

This is a nice hotel. My two major issues are, when I first entered the room and used the restroom I discovered the toilet was broken. Called the front office. They sent maintenance immediately who fixed the issue. ( resolved) the second issue was the ants, tons of ants. We had no food what so ever bug tons of ants. Other than that staff was nice location […] is great. Small breakfast room but hey its free. Lisateave

I thought the hotel and service was great,the only thing I didn't like was that the king size bed was to hard and the pillows was also hard.............The girl who works the front desk (Sarah)is great at her job..........Would come back again.......... Rickey

Every room smells like cigarettes. Nice location though.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The manager was very helpful. The only problem I had was with the locks on the door. I had difficultly three times getting in the room and one time getting out.

Terrible experience- Room conditions were the worst i have seen in years of travel. Many cigarette burns thru comforter and worn and thin blankets. Heater is a wall unit that was right next to bed, old and loud. Microwave was broken, big holes in wall above one of beds with a picture missing. Elevator was broken for most of my stay and seniors had to […] walk down stairs. I carried one woman who could not manage. Room smelled of old cigarette smoke and some of the pillows looked like the pillowcases were not changed. I was disgusted and frustrated as it felt very dirty and loud - not a pleasant stay at all. All people in my room froze during night due to insufficient bedding and thin, worn blankets- we were all glad to leave. Continental breakfast included a bowl of bananas as the only healthy item and fruit offered. Otherwise it was waffles, sugar cereals, croissants (old, my Mom put it back after trying one) and danishes. We went out to breakfast instead. Never again! Lisateave

Nice spot, very friendly people. We didn't like our first room and they accommodated us with a better room. A delicious Thai restaurant and great wine shop across the street. A nice walk (1 mile) to the beach.

TV did not work, and had to call front desk for hand towels

The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. The pool area was pleasant. Breakfast was adequate. Good value for the money overall - I would stay there again..

My wife lives in Manhattan Beach and has work there but has her home rented for several months. We had recently stayed at another similar hotel just across the street and for about the same cost but the room at the Comfort inn was much nicer. Large, clean, very comfortable. Easily a suite without the door. Breakfast was good and the staff very helpful […] and friendly. I'll definitely be staying again on our next trip south. Lisateave

This was not the best hotel that I have stayed in, but by far not the worst. The shower left a little to be desired, it was dirty.

Rummen luktade unket och man upplevde att man bodde i någon form av bunker.

Godt ankomsthotel, dog kunne swimmingpool godt have virket lidt mere indbydende.
