Monte Carlo Resort and Casino - Las Vegas

I think the hotel was a little expensive but it was relatively a pleasant stay. We liked the location being on the strip and within walking distance to alot of the more popular sites. The room was clean but it could do with a little bit of updating. Personally I hate Keurig coffee machines cos the coffee quality is terrible so paying the resort fee […] for that was a waste of money. I wish I knew the resort fee paid for internet access - didn't bring my laptop as I didn't want to pay extra which I had to pay anyway! Staff was pleasant and helpful and it nice that they pump in nice smells so you can't smell the smoke from the casino. I liked it that they had a food court so we didn't have to walk far to have inexpensive meals especially for breakfast! Lisateave

It is a nice hotel. It seems like it would be perfect fir families with kiddos.

The hotel was nice and at a really good spot. Only drawback was that I found two pills on the floor which should not happen in a four star hotel.

I chose Monte Carlo because they had great rates. Honestly, I have stayed at 3 star hotels in podunkville that had nicer rooms. Spend the extra $10-20 a night and go elsewhere. I was terribly unimpressed as I have stayed at a number of places along the Strip, and this hotel room definitely makes you not want to stay in the room.

Over all it was what I expected for the price. Great stay.

First time staying at the Monte Carlo though have passed by it all the time before. Very nice & clean. The staff were very friendly & prompt. REALLY REALLY enjoyed the Jabbawockeez Show. Very refreshing & new.

Everything about the hotel is mediocre. For a grand hotel, I expected it to be somewhat grand. There's definitely nothing wrong with it but I wanted it to match the grandness of the other hotels around it especially spending for that price

The hotel was was centered right in the middle of the strip. The bed was very comfortable. The only issue was the bathroom was big but needed some updating, not enough counter space and the towels smelt funky. Other than that, i enjoyed every minute of it. Will return to the Monte Carlo!

Our stay here was excellent except for the fact that upon check in smoking vs non-smoking was never discussed and on my reservation I had put non-smoking and so I assumed that is what we got. 2 days later when our room filled with smoke from the next room we found out we were on a smoking floor. We were able to move floors without difficulty, but this […] should not have even happened. Lisateave

Monte Carlo is centrally located on the strip and close to amenties. However, very disappointed in the "resort fee" that is NOT optional. I have no use for a wired internet, like a lot of other people, and therefore objected to paying $20.00 for a coffee and water.

In general the stay was satisfactory, the hotel employees were very courteous and helpful, however the room was a basic 2 queen hotel room. Nothing spectacular! All in all I am glad I got the room at a discounted rate, otherwise you are basically paying for the name and being right on the strip. The casino was unsatisfactory. Couldn't find waitress […] to get us a drink while playing, and we couldn't even find one until we were ready to leave the casino. This was my first visit to Vegas and no one old me that smoking is allowed in the casinos, so this is NOT for asthma sufferers. Lisateave

Loved the hotel, great pool area, shows, casino. The only complaint is there isn't a fridge in the room.

The Monte Carlo was an excellent choice for my getaway. Location wad perfect, everything the hotel had to offer was wonderful. It was slow checking in, but all in all I would use this hotel again.

Loved our stay at the Monte Carlo. It's located in the center of the strip with all other hotels within walking distance. The hotel is beautifull, the food is great and the price was right!

I stayed in Monte Carlo second time but I believe it was the last time just because of they charged me $22 per day for nothing (2 small bottles water, cable internet and daily newspaper) under the "resort fee". Also my pillow was stained and towels were stiff.

I was not happy having to pay resort fees. Although it is common place, I am disappointed at how it was hidden until we arrived at "The resort". Then have the front desk personnel" look at you as if "that"s just the way it is" If some one was to Tell me, there Hotel did not have resort fees , that is where i will stay!

My boyfriend and I booked the Spa Suite at the Monte Carlo and had an absolutely wonderful time. The room was gorgeous, complete with turn down service. The only complaint I would have is that there was an adjoining room door which allowed a lot of noise to slip in to our room. The hotel was modern and very relaxing. It wasn't as noisy as other hotels […] and didn't have a sense of 'cheapness' that I had at other casinos and hotels on the strip. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and offered a great relaxing pace which is definitely needed once you come back from the business of the strip. There are two great bars located in the hotel, an ice bar and a great pub with 300 some beers. I'd definitely be back and would recommend staying here to anyone. Lisateave

The hotel is great and very clean. Would recommend. Only issue was when my key stopped working I was told to go to the concierge to get my key replaced, but then after waiting at the concierge desk I they told me I had to go see someone else at the front desk. Once at the front desk they had to get a supervisor. Just to get a key redone took over 40 […] minutes. Not very convenient. Lisateave

My overall stay was comfortable and the discount price was very attractive. However, I was disappointed to find that there was a $20 + resort fee tacked on to the price quoted to me. The check-in process was very inefficient and the wait was at least 20 minutes. Many, including myself, were confused since their were multiple lines that seemed to have […] no rhyme or reason to them. The fact that the resort fee was supposed to cover Internet access made the fact that the property did not provide WI-FI access even more frustrating. There was no refrigerator in the room which I have come to expect, the rooms need a bit of updating and the towels were almost threadbare on some days. Lisateave

This hotel is spotless and bright and the best smelling when you go in. In comparison most of the other hotels on the strip are dingy, dark and the cigarette smoke hits you like a ton of bricks/ My family and I will definitely be staying there in a about 3 months. The valet and all the employees were wonderful. Great service!

I stayed in one of the Monaco suites at the Monte Carlo ... the room itself was spacious and spotless (the mini-fridge comes in very handy). There are a lot of good choices for places to eat within the hotel that cover the spectrum from fast food to fine dining, and the location, and it's an easy walk to just about anywhere on the strip. The casino […] is large enough to have a wide variety of games, but not too big where it's easy to get lost. The staff were friendly for the most part, however, the only minor flaw I can point out is that the service was not always prompt, for example, the lines to check in and check out were very slow to move, and drink service at the tables was nowhere near as quick as other major casinos. But that aside, I would definitely return again without any hesitation, and would strongly recommend it! Lisateave

We always have a good experience when we stay here, the room is always clean, the beds are comfortable and the service from everyone in the hotel is always courteous ..

Good location, good environment, good service, great hotel overall! Don't know what to complain about! I must stay if you are to go to Vegas.

we came with the kids un a big rv that they let us park for free. the rooms are big and cleen and we enjoyed.

Hotel is in need of remodel and or up date Bed was broken down and the carpet needs to be replaced TV remote did not work correctly Would not return Very dissapointed

Had a great stay with the exception of the noise. Noise from both the highway, construction and hallways. Great pools.

The hotel service was wonderful, the linens on the bed could have been a little nicer, they seemed a little stained in some spots. And the hotel room was not a spectacular as I was hoping for or saw online. The casino service was not good. Service people in the casino seemed to avoid people, and it took forever to get a drink or any attendents.

Hotel was very clean and quite. My wife and I loved how easy it was to get to our room without having to walk 15 minutes through the hotel. There is a tram that takes you from monte Carlo to bellagio so to you get to the middle of the strip in minutes. Staff was very helpful and nice. Also the pool is a little on the smaller size but very nice.

Very clean and inviting. Resort quality thinkyou are in the islands. Close to all facilities.

With a family or not this is a great place to stay because of the pool (family oriented) and the location on the Strip. Easy to get in and out of with a car along with 5 to 10 minutes walks to other casinos. Definitely recommend the Monte Carlo.

Our main complaint was the customer service. When checking in we had to wait a long time. There were hardly any clerks available. This was the problem everytime we went to the lobby. The systems went down on Sunday on the slot machines and the wait to get our money out was an hour or more. Also I thought I requested a strip view room but up check in […] I found that I had not gotten one. Lisateave

The casino staff was very friendly and courteous. Almost more so, than the hotel staff. Nothing too extravagant in the regular two queen bed rooms, but how long will you be spending your time in the room at Vegas? Great spot for the value.

Great Stay for the money. Resort fees and check-in wait time was lousy though.
