Hotel conveniently located. Very friendly reception, large room. Nice bathroom. Everything very clean. Elevators a bit slow. Staff at bar not very competent.

We found the Holiday Inn to be in a good location for a wedding at the Aquarium. Reception staff were polite and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Rates were good. Room was quite. Overall, we will use this hotel again for nights in the city.

Great location, comfortable room bathroom was a little tired but overall I would recommend the Holiday Inn for value for money

We enjoyed staying at this hotel as it was very convenient to trams and tourist attractions. The staff were very helpful and always polite.

A sub standard Holiday Inn. We spent 5 nights at this property recently and it was the worst accomodation we have ever experienced for the cost per dollar that we have ever had in any Hotel over the scores we have stayed at during extensive World travel over the last 5 years. Simply put this property is overpriced and overated in that it promises much […] and delivers little. Frequent travellers fully understand that you get what you pay for rated in local currency in dollar terms according to where you travel and what you expect. Most , 99.9% properties pass this test and do not over promiset. This property does not. The problem arises when a property runs what from personal observation over 5 nights seems to be a two tier level of accomodation in that the Internet, pay in advance booker gets what can only be described as a grubby, cramped double ( a loss leader, admitted by a junior front desk staff member) which forces a room upgrade and for which the extra charge exceeds the booking rate advertised on the properties own dedicated website. Our advice BOOK ELSEWHERE. Lisateave

Great front desk staff. Friendly and helpful. Prices in bar and restaurant and bar are outrageous, but It's Australia. Location near the corner of Finders and Spenser puts you in the grunge zone. Easy to reach the convention center and free city circle tram line.

While staying at the Hotel I was in room 627 and it was closest to the lifts. The noise from the lifts was unexecapable and when I advisesd staff, I also to be kept informed as to their findings. I have to date not heard from staff or management of the hotel.

I have had much larger rooms in Hong Kong and Tokyo, this one was so small that I could not even use the desk, unless I turned the chair sideways. Cracked sink, could have used a bathroom makeover. It is super conveniently located and clean, but I expected more for the price (then again, I am realizing how poor Americans are abroad now anywhere).

Situated on Flinders St (Cnr of Spencer St) this was the perfect palce to stay when visiting Melbourne. Close to the cbd, spencer street shops and even the wonderful restaurants along the yarra. We flew in at 7am and went to the hotel to drop our bags off. They told us the room was ready so after a flight from Perth with no sleep we were soooo impressed […] and delighted that we could check in early! The room was great, two double beds like we asked for. The bathroom/shower facilities were not bad, only that the shower head was not adjustable. The one thing that would've made it even better would've been having free wifi in the room, but they charged for internet use, which was a bit annoying. Lisateave

During my recent stay, the airline left my luggage behind and the reception staff could not have been more helpful in trying to trace it, also providing me with a bathrobe and toiletries to assist. Great location, clean, comfortable and friendly and helpful staff. Our stay was very enjoyable and would go there again.

As far as Holidays Inns go this one is overpriced. The breakfast does not include many choices. The rooms are old and in need of repair. Location is good for the Opera and Bridge but a Darling Harbour location would make for a better choice for business or pleasure. Internet is not free and is expensive.

We came in very late and was welcomed with friendly and effective service, we had been traveling for 40 hours so that check in went smooth was a big plus. The rooms were nice and clean, had a tub and a huge window covering the entire wall. The breakfast had everything you need, you can choose from two kinds of buffets, the full breakfast which has everything, […] or the continental which is without all the warm things. Great hotel, I would recommend this for anyone wanting to be close to the city or who are just traveling through. Lisateave

Our stay at Holiday Inn was very comfortable. The room was clean and spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were efficient, knowledgable and very friendly. It was close to shopping, Aquarium and Southbank. The tramstop was just outside the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Still have blisters on my feet - my 2 teenage daughters (shop until you drop) and I explored the entire city,southbank,crown complex - following day harbourside, costco, We had a fabulous weekend, the girls chilled out in the pool, while I chilled with a drink...This hotel is in a great position to all you would want to see and do.

Very comfy bed and pillow. Very friendly staff and perfect location, walking distance to great eatery, casino and dance clubs. perfect!!!!

The Holiday Inn on Flinders was very nice, clean, and well kept up. The location was near the Yarra River in the CBD, with bus and trolley lines within a block.
