Ateneo Hotel - Venezia

The hotel room was smaller than expected and the staff was great with the exception of the restaurant/breakfast help. They did not speak any english & were not very friendly (front lobby help was great).

As with all hotel rooms you will find in Venice, our room was small. However, it was also well maintained and everything was very clean. We had a large wardrobe which fit our suitcase pretty well, so that helped with space. The breakfast was very nice. The choices given were somewhat limited (this coming from an American who probably overeats in general), […] but everything we ate was fresh and satisfying. The people at the desk were incredibly helpful and generous. We stayed two nights and wanted to stay for a third, but they were already full. That was a Friday night. Lisateave

Venetian, comfortable, affordable and in great location, would definitely return..... serenaded by passing gondoliers beneath the windows of our bedroom , fabulous!

Venice is a very complicated city with nothing but water, no street cars, so no taxis, lol, only water taxis. Getting to the hotel was not an easy feat. Once there, the service was adequate, the breakfast was not too bad. The room actually had a european plug!!! Along with the weird 3-prong system Italy has. But it was great to finally charge my phone […] and camera b/c you'd think Italy would have these available for European travelers? Anyway, hotel is not too bad, but would most likely stay elsewhere more convenient for getting around Lisateave

This hotel had a great location and was easily found following a map. The room was small, but the bathroom was very good. Hotel was very clean and offered a lovely breakfast. Would stay there again. LB Salt Lake City, Utah

This hotel was full of charm and character. Great breakfast! The bathrooms were updated with nice tile and the rooms were extremely clean and quaint. The room was small, but they are equivilent to others in Venice that I have stayed in. There is no elevator, so if you require one you may want to look for another hotel. It was a little hard to find the […] first time, I had to ask two store owners, but they are friendly and willing to help. Getting lost in Venice is half the fun anyway! Lisateave

This room was really lovely. It had a lot of Venetian charm, a nice breakfast, and was in a great location. It was a little small...like the bathroom door ran into the bed, but that is just part of being in Venice! We would definitely recommend it. East to find from St. Marco Square.

The hotel is in a great location, but it is difficult to find. The rooms are small and the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff was nice and helpful.

Decided to spend a bit more than normal for our 3 day visit in Venise. Was pleasantly surprised with how nice this hotel was. Close to San Marco (our boat drop-off) and Rialto Bridge. Lots of fun shops and places to eat all over. Clean, quiet and a very nice breakfast. Our window overlooked the canals and we watched the gondolas float by. A wonderful […] experience all around! The room was quiet small compared to American standards but roomy for European standards. The lobby will close after 1am and you will leave your keys at the desk when you go our for security reasons. The staff was very helpful but be advised there are no lifts and you need to make yourself familiar with the streets. This hotel has a great location and the room we had was a good size for 4 people. The only problem we had was that we did not always have hot water.

Grundsätzlich waren wir froh, ein Vierbettzimmer erhalten zu haben (ist ja nicht immer und überall so einfach). Nachdem es sich allerdings um ein klassisches Doppelzimmer handelte, glich das Zimmer mit 2 Zustellbetten eher einem Matratzenlager (Kasten vor das Fenster geschoben). Aber wir kamen eh nur zum Schlafen dorthin.

３泊しました。まず、場所がすごくわかりづらいです。ヴェネツィアの道自体がわかりづらいので、探すのにすごく苦労しました。毎回ホテルに戻る度に道に迷いました。部屋はきれいでした。ミニバーや暖房や換気扇など設備は十分でした。しかし、シャワーがすごく弱く、お湯がたまに出ませんでした。フロントに言いに行ったところ、「明日修理しに行く。今必要なのか？」と言われました。翌日の朝従業員がシャワーをチェックしに来ましたが、「これで正常だ」とだけ言い、めんどくさそうに何も言わず去っていきました。３泊の間すごく寒い思いをしながら弱いシャワーを浴びました。ホテルは綺麗なのに従業員はほとんどの人が態度が悪いのでもったいないホテルだと思いました。何事もなければ、泊っても問題ないと思いますが、従業員の対応を含めると、あま […] りおすすめできないホテルです。 Lisateave

Chambres propes mais trop petites. Salle de bain très correcte. L'accueil était correcte, surtout les dames qui préparaient le petit déjeuner, très sourrientes et aimables. Seul gros problème, l'odeur dans la chambre et dans l'hôtel en générale........... Raison pour laquelle je ne recommenderait pas spécialement cet hôtel.

Fint lille hotel lige midt i alt det der skal opleves i Venedig. Lille rum til indtagelse af morgenmad, ikke det bedste. Fine små værelser, pænt holdt.

Ett litet hotel beläget centralt i Venedig ca.10min. från Marcus Platsen. Små rum drar ner lite på betyget men det är nog svårt att hitta något större i den här prisklassen

Nous avions réservé pour 3 nuits et nous sommes restés que 2 nuits. Les chambres étant trés petites, nous ne pouvions memes pas rentrer nos valises. pour les clostrophones à eviter. un rapport qualités prix surfait, sachant que nous avons payé à la réservation 6 mois à l'avance. Dommage notre séjour a été gaché par le logement

Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Behärskar engelska mycket bra.

Hotellet var, som alt andet i Venedig, svært at finde, men beliggenheden er super god. Meget central og så er der stille om aftenen, så man kan lægge børn i seng. Det ligger dog ikke så tæt på rigtig gode restauranter, men så må man bare gå de 10-15 minutter det tager at komme til sådanne steder. Værelset var meget pænt og meget rent, men lidt for småt […] til 2 voksne og børn på 3 og 1 år. Jeg mener - det kunne lige gå an, men om aftenen og morgenen har man bare lyst til at skynde sig ud af det lille rum, for det bliver for snævert med en stor dbl seng, en gæsteseng en babyseng og et stort skab. Morgenmaden var ikke god, men man kunne da overleve på den og personalet var meget venlige. Prisen for værelset er ret dyrt, men det er ALLE hoteller i Venedig, så her skiller det sig ikke ud. Ruhige, zentrale Lage. Sehr freundlich. Preis/Leistung stimmt. Gehe ganz bestimmt wieder.

a notre grand regret nous avions choisi cet hotel car il etait placé pres de la place St marc , en arrivant on nous a informer que notre chambre netait pas disponible pour cause des intemperies de la nuit passé (nous n'y avons pas dit tout cru car le reste des personne derriere nous avaient leur chambres ! )Nous avons ete loger sur l'île du lido a 15 […] en bateau de la place saint marc nous obligeans a acheter le pass des transports choses imprevu dans notre budget ! nous ne somme PAS du tout content ! Das Hotel entspricht einem sehr knappen 3 Stern Standart. Das von uns belegte Doppelzimmer hat alle angepriesenen Bedingungen grundsätzlich erfüllt. Die grösse entsprach jedoch eher einer Besenkammer 3x2,5 Meter. Dies sollte eigentlich nicht als Zimmer bezeichnet werden. Das abstellen eines Koffers war schlicht nicht möglich. Die SAuberkeit war weitgehnd […] OK, aber auch da könnte so einiges verbessert werden. Lisateave

Bár este 11-kor kicsit elvesztünk Velence labirintusában, miközben a szállást kerestük, másnap világosban kiderült, hogy remek helyen van, közel mindenhez, ami számít! 2 percen belül: vizitaxi állomás, Rialto, Szent Mark tér, és gondola-kikötő. Ajánlom mindenkinek, aki nem akar sokat gyalogolni, de mindent látni akar!:)

Vi boede på værelse 212. Og havde nogle fantastiske dage. Det var 3-stjernes standard. men de som arbejde på hotellet var så utrolig søde og hjælpsomme og området rundt om hotellet var HELT fantastisk. Næste gang jeg skal tilbage til venedig, bliver det helt klart dette hotel igen. :-)

Vi har boet på hotel Ateneo, og det var et dejligt hotel. Det var et meget lille værelse, men indretningen og udseende gjorde til fulde op med størrelsen. Betjeningen var og beliggenheden var super god

There was a general smell in the room and the room flooded at some point when it rained. We had to use our towels to dry the floor. The reception couldn't help as this probably is a general problem for all the rooms when it rains. You get one hour free internet, but have to pay per hour after that.
