Fairfield Inn by Marriott Myrtle Beach North - Myrtle Beach

Room smelled like smoke. Renovations appear to be taking place, however the hotel is a disaster as it appears the renovation staff is not cleaning up after themselves. We had to move to a different hotel.

We decided last minute to get out of town after Thanksgiving Thursday and it was the first time in a long time we had absolutely no problems from check in to check out. The lady at front desk laughed with my son because in the middle of winter here is comes dragging his pool noodles. Everything was clean, open, convenient and room was spotless. My older […] son thought the name on the card in the room was that of the last people that stayed, but it was the name of the person that cleaned the room. They were helpful in allowing us to heat up our Thanksgiving left-overs we brought and the place was quiet -no rif rafts just an annoying lady who decided she should keep the outside door to the pool open and let in cold air. Awesome and friendly staff whether it was the check in, maintenance or cleaning crew. They were all smiling and always ready to help. Quick and easy check in and check out. Great breakfast with many choices. Rooms were very comfy and clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Close to shopping as well.

The staff at the desk were wonderful. I was dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room. When I walked in I noticed an old musty smell. I think it was the old carpet. The family complained that the bed set felt damp. Otherwise the mattress itself was pretty comfortable.

Hotel was ok for a one night stay. I've stayed at Fairfields before for much less money and they were in better condition but overall wasn't bad. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, wasn't able to take advantage of breakfast.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in March since it had an indoor pool. The pool heater was broke and the water was cold all weekend. The beds were very uncomfortable and we actually left the hotel 1 night early because we were so uncomfortable.

I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn; I chose this hotel because it was close to the House of Blues [the venue for a concert I was attending]. They have a contract with a taxi company - they came right on time & were friendly. The fare was also cheap. The front desk people were decent & helped me out when I needed it. The breakfast had good choices: […] fresh coffee, fruit, cereal, wafflemaker, & biscuits that could be warmed up. The view isn't great from any angle, but its close to many things including Tanger outlets. So, if you want somewhere to stay that is simple, clean, & close to shopping - I would recommend this place. Lisateave

Was very impressed with the quality of this hotel for the price. It felt like a more expensive hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable, the staff was courteous, the breakfast was excellent and everything was well decorated and spotless. I did not have a single complaint.

The hotel was not fancy or luxurious, but very clean and comfortable. Close to Tanger Outlet and Ripley's Aquarium, perfect place for family vacation.

Went last minute on a shopping trip and this hotel is close to Tanger outlets and perfect for a getaway weekend. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Neat hotel with plush beds! Too soft for ne but just right for the wife. Room location near pool on first floor. Made for a noisey night because of ice machines. Insist to not have this particular room!

This hotel is located on hwy 17, about 1 mile to public beach access of north myrtle beach, 1 mile to Tanger Outlet. Around the hotel within some miles hundreds of attractions. We stayed one day longer as planned!

I think for the price, I expected it to be similar to the Fairfield Marriot in DC where I stayed before - which my family enjoyed. This hotel had a friendly front desk staff which I think is the only plus. The carpets were old, worn and smelled badly. The bathroom was filthy with stains everywhere. The ice machine outside our room made an incessant […] noise throughout the night. The breakfast was minimal and could do with a little work. The walls inside my room and the bathroom had peeling paint and the previous repairs to the drywall was clearly visible. The cover of the ac was loose and came off. The elevator smelled bad. The location of the hotel is great--not too far from many great attractions including Broadway at the Beach and Alligator Adventure. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom tiles in the shower and bathroom floor had mildew on them. Also, the room was very moist for some reason. Our towels never dried and the clothing in our […] suitcases was damp by the time we left. Very odd because we ran the A/C constantly. Housekeeping took our used bar of soap, but did not replace it after our first night. I discovered this while I was in the shower the next morning. Needless to say, I was annoyed. They did bring a new bar of soap within minutes, but I was irritated. The hotel and service were not horrible, but I will find better accommodations the next time I visit Myrtle Beach. Lisateave

This hotel was very nice, clean, and close to all the offerings of both North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach. (I preferred North Myrtle Beach - where this hotel is - because it was less commercial than Myrtle Beach) My wife has cleanliness OCD and she thoroughly enjoyed our stay. BOOK IT!

This hotel by no means should carry the "Marriott" name. Though it was suitable to stay in, I would not recommend. The front desk staff was fine but all other services were rather rude. The room was old, but relatively clean. All furniture needs updating, as do linens, etc... The a/c was not working properly, which for a 95 degree day, was not pleasant. […] Good location but I would look elsewhere next time since there is plenty to choose from in Myrtle Beach. This was a perfect place to stay,near Tanger Outlet and not far from the beach.I liked that the checkout time was 12pm instead of 11am and the breakfast was way better than other hotels I've stayed at.The staff was very friendly and helpful.We will definatly be going back to stay here!
