We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of 2 weeks in vietnam where we had stayed in some amazing hotels so the Carlton was a bit disappointing. The room good size just dated - picture shower curtain over the bath/ shower. There was a lot of hair around bath and toilet and bedside consoles had smears of food over them. We didn't expect the intercontinental […] but had hoped it would have been clean. Our daily room cleans were fine it though. Our room was next to the lifts too so very noisy. Pool and gym were good, breakfast was ok, they need advance notice about allergies. Was a bit far from main shopping centres, ok for most sights, taxis are very cheap. Had no problems with the hotel staff, the doormen were standouts always there with a smile and a friendly comment, they made our stay much more personalised Lisateave

We were upgraded to the 15th floor in the premium tower. The staff were Always helpful location perfect

Hotel looked good from reviews but actually the rooms are dated and the service is bad. My booking for a non smoking double room wasn't honoured and the smoking room they offered wasnt worth the money I had paid. Won't stay again in the future. Only good thing was location...but could have found a hostel for that! Service was non existent too

This was the first leg of our honeymoon and the Hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful. The location is very good as it is quite central to Orchard road, arab street, little india etc. They are are a short cab ride. Would definately recommend this hotel.

The only problem was the airconditioner which was way too cold - reported it and a chap came to fix it by opening the window but after we closed the window about half an hour later it returned to the icy conditions of the room, at this stage we gave up !

after a initial shaky start were I was told I couldn't have the room I wanted (queen bed) they found me a room on a smoking floor (again I had requested a non smoking) even though I had booked the room 4 months in advance. finally getting to my room the smell of smoke was so minor as not to be an annoyance, the room was huge with a kitchen and dining […] / lounge room and an enormous bedroom looking out over the old Raffle's Hotel, was clean quiet, with efficient service, I had 6 nights here and really I cant complain about a thing, would definitely recommend a stay and its close to all the attractions Singapore has to offer Lisateave

Stayed in the premier wing. Rooms were excellent - stunning new and clean. Large hotel, but no noise in room. Decent breakfast and helpful staff. Great location right next to Raffles!

Really nice hotel. Right next door to Raffles and some very nice areas like the marina (10 min walk). Ended up in the premier tower of the hotel because they were busy and have to say the room was top notch. My only gripe, like most hotels in this bracket, is they seem intent on wanting to charge for internet in the room. Why ? This is a hotel with great location especially I you want to be close to all the main tourist attractions. Or had road is only down the road the staff are very helpful and the rooms did not disappoint. Happily stay here again anytime.

booked this hotel over a long week-end (3 nights) at a very affordable price for a 5* hotel ... even better, I was upgraded to Premier wing on arrival :) facilities are all very good, very luxury throughout. breakfast buffet is good but I have had better in cheaper hotels, Every other food served in the hotel is very expensive.

This hotel was in a good location close to all the shops of Orchard Street as well as within walking distance of the marina, the river and the city. It was an extremely comfortable and clean hotel and the staff were very friendly. Great hotel but the rooms in the old wing don't have a setting to change the aircon fan speed. I personally found the fan to be too loud to get a good sleep at night.

Perfect!! Except that they dont have wifi in the room. But that's easily compensated by the fact that they kindly upgraded our room when I told we were on a honeymoon. And ask for the highest floor possible! We got the 12th floor and the view is GGORRRGGEOOOUUUUSSS :D :D! Thank you Carlton and hotels.com for the info! Bath room was not up to the quality to give 4 star, hot water /cold water in the shower ajustment was not functioning as expected and pressure of the water was low. My stay was comfortable and the room was clean and mostly well appointed. My only suggestion would be to provide a hair dryer in the bathroom as I was surprised that a hotel of this rating did not provide this as a standard fixture. The staff was polite and helpful at all times. I would recommend this hotel to others and stay again myself.

The hotel is comfortable, services fantastic and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is OK - convenient next to metro stations with nearby restaurants and large mall, but a short taxi ride or metro journey from local attractions. Highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel was ideally situated across the road from Raffles and within easy walk of metro stations and major shopping areas. Service at the hotel was very good whilst public spaces, including the pool area, were of a very high standard and very well maintained. Free wi fi in the lobby area was some compensation for no free wi fi in anything but the […] most expensive rooms. We booked 2 rooms for our stay. By 7pm, one of the rooms was still not ready for check in as the last guest had not checked out. They upgraded one of us to another floor. One room was older and in need of renovation. The upgraded one was new and renovated. However, the lobby and common areas of the hotel were quite modern. Food is excellent. Free wifi […] only available in lobby which is odd. Most hotels of this rating usually offer complimentary wifi in rooms. This hotel charged per minute for the use of cable internet in room. No wireless internet in the room. If you need that need to move to different block and they charge you S$ 120 more. Customer service is bad. Service manager was rude.

i was disappointed: Air-condition thermostat wasn’t working (although technician was trying to fix it). It was or freezing cold or extremely hoy. Room cleaning service was terrible: one day they took all the towels and left no new ones. Other day they didn’t provided any soaps. now days, who charges so large daily amount for wired internet? Except for the airlline loosing all my husbands belongings & having to incorporate buying him an entire set of clothing, luggage, toiletries etc... out of our budget, the trip to Singapore was very enjoyable. The hotel staff were very accommodating
