"Perfect for the Price!"
Just having a place to rest was all we really cared about (Skiing/snowboarding). We not only got that, but a CLEAN Tempurpedic bed that was marvelous. The hot breakfast was more than we expected, and an indoor hot tub as well! All that for a great low price. "Terrible experience"
Phones did not work, showers went from steaming hot to freezing cold from one second to another, mattresses were sinking, and it was almost impossible to control the heating. We had to open the door several times overnight because it would get TOO hot (in the middle of January!). We tried to complain about all this and they just gave us lame excuses […] and no solutions. Also, bikers beware! If you have bikes on top of your car, they may not clear the driveway cover in front of the lobby. Vastab Ramada Limited Durango I am very sorry that this customer had an unsatisfactory stay with us. We did extend a discount due to the report of water temperature fluctuation. Our maintenance technician investigated this matter immediately, but could not get the problem to replicate. The guests were in the process of leaving for the day, but had they returned to the desk later we would have been glad to provide a different room and help move their things. I could find no record of a complaint regarding the phone, which turned out to be suffering from nothing more than a button that was sticking. As for the heat, most of our rooms have a primary and a secondary heating system, which can be a bit confusing. I apologize for this guests’ discomfort; we have retrained all the front desk staff to give clearer instructions in the future. Finally, regarding the clearance issue over our entryway: The guests pulled into our hotel in an SUV with bicycles attached vertically to the top. We have three driveways, only one of which passes under the entryway, which apparently they hit. This entryway has a red sign above it with 8 inch letters, saying: LOW CLEARANCE 9’-0”. There are two other entrances, one immediately adjacent, which pass under nothing but sky. I hope there was no significant damage to the bikes, but I honestly cannot think of what else we could do to make such an accident more avoidable.

The hotel is definitely aging... nothing but tempurpedic beds which was annoying. Because they are very difficult to move around on. Room was clean but it seemed as if the staff who cleaned just set things wherever. I would chose a hotel closer to downtown next visit for sure. I needed a quite room. It was quiter than most except was over laundy area.Carpet very dirty. Talked to a maintaince person who said reason was because people walk in soot from train & track on to carpet. That would make sense but carpet should not be allowed to get that dirty. "Clean, comfortable for Fort Lewis parents"
This was our second stay at this hotel. On the positive side: It is comfortable inside. The room had plenty of space, it was clean and the beds are comfortable. We liked that there was plenty of space for our bags with racks, etc. to hold them. Durango is a small place so every hotel is accessible to everything by car within minutes. This hotel is farther […] from the center of town though and not walking distance if you need that. We like this location because of the easy access to Fort Lewis College very close to the hotel on 32nd. On the slightly negative side: There is road noise but most hotels in Durango are located on the same busy street. It didn't really bother us much. The bathroom commode needs work in the room we were in and we informed the front desk of this issue but it really didn't bother us much. There is a pool but it is located on the busy street. Overall we were satisfied with our stay. The kids had a great time in the pool and it was beautiful and clean. The memory foam mattresses were a nice plus. We stayed at the Ramada Ltd on August 5-7. It was okay. The tempurpedic bed and puffy pillows were fabulous. The flat screen in the room was nice to have, rather than the older style of tv; management came personally and reprogrammed and got new batteries when we complained that the remote was not working. The breakfast was adequate with many choices […] and waffles and fruit (that always makes my day). The location in Durango was just right--not so close to the train that you heard squeaking by in the night. The bathrooms needed some updating and we kept finding elder bugs in the bathroom the first day. Management cleaned them up and explained that the next door neighbors had trees. Motel was very good quality. Our particular room had a defective A/C system—it stayed cool enough but made a sharp noise each time it came on. The amenities were very good, and other than the AC, the room was quiet and comfortable.
