The hotel was very quaint, quiet, and close to all of the attractions. The hotel location was GREAT. Everything was within easy walking distance. This included the attractions, Metro, Shopping, the Market, and eating establishments. The air-conditioner worked great, people were nice and more importantly the price was affordable. Nice, understated hotel with decent breakfast (not free). Well situated for Rome visitors. No ubiquitous wi-fi in the rooms. Room small and beds a little soft but staff pleasant and good value for money

We enjoyed our stay, although beds were a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast was nice, it would have been a head ache to find breakfast each morning. Stayed at this hotel over Easter and although it did the job regarding location, comfortable beds, price and service/friendly staff it could not be rated as your normal 4 star hotel. Rooms are noisy from 24 hour street traffic, need of redecoration and there is no rooftop dining area as highlighted on the website.

Well situated with nice breakfast, (Not free, but decent value) within walking distance of everything worth seeing. Close to the Vatican. Hotel staff are pleasant. Romm is compact but pleasant

A super small hotel at a very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and comfortable if not spacious. Access for disabled could bve a problem as there are lots of stairs and a very small escalator. The staff were friendly and most helpful - especially with helping us get our camera back safely after being left in a taxi. Loved the location to St.Peter's square and the Vatican. Front desk could have been nicer at check in. Room was cleaned, wished conditioner and lotion would have been provided.

The hotel was very good overall. The shuttle pick up is very nice (family trip) and is very close to the Vatican. The room we were in (corner towards the street) was a bit loud from traffic noise.

2 blocks from the Vadican and 3 from the metro - Great to get around Rome with. Very nice hotel with average breakfast. The first room we had provided a below average mattress (sponge.....). Asked to move to another room - No problem afterwards. Would stay there again.

It’s a perfect location to see the Pope in the Vatican! It is literally down the street. To see the Coliseum you just jump on the nearby Monorail which is very close as well. I'm American and we expect bigger space especially for the price, but this hotel comes very close. It was a nice room with friendly service.

We had stayed at what is now named the Atlante Star when last in Rome and actually thought we had reserved rooms there via the internet which did not specify that there are two Atlantes. In fact, the pictures online are of the Star and the restaurant. So...we were diappointed right away. Then, we went to the Star to go to the Rooftop Restaurant which […] we remembered to find it not open......again, this was not mentioned online. Another couple was with us which made these things even more disappointing. The rooms were adequate....beds very narrow. And, breakfast was not included which we had previously also experienced as included. We will likely try somewhere else next time. Lisateave

Very satified with the stay, walking distance to the Vatican and more, excellent service, would return to this hotel in the future. Although the dinner on the rooftop was not worth the price of the food, would not recommend that to others.

This is a great hotel, with a fantastic location and friendly service. Our room was elegant and clean, and was just a quick walk away from the Vatican. Our biggest gripe was with the beds - we had a double room, which they made by sliding two single beds together to make one big bed. I mean this hotel don't live up to character 4 star, hardly 3 stars. Doors on closet falling of hinges, toilett leaking, broken tiles, and the list goes on... Some pictures on Hotel-com's webpage are taken from another hotel some blocks away.. But, friendly staff and located close to Vaticane State.

though it was a night stay but service was worse..I had free shuttle for my booking but they never sent shuttle for my pick up I had to take bus and I ended connecting in different buses and arrived at hotel at 1:30 in the after noon instead of 9:30. At the front desk the guy does not want to listen to me. I request him to provide the shuttle for next […] morning at 6.00 so that I go to airport on time but later in the evening I cross checked with them who told me that there is no bus service till 8:30 which means that receptionist lied lied to me so finally I had to book my taxi going back to airport paying Euro 50.00. Be careful coz they r mentioning that the shuttle is free but nobody shows up to pick u and drop. Other then front desk service and shuttle the hotel location was ok and rooms were very good and location is perfect. The hotel management need to improve the service. Lisateave

Great place to stay and would recommend staying there for easy transition to other sites by bus and train and real close to Vatican.

Overall, this was a comfortable hotel to recover from lots of walking and sightseeing. The location was near Vatican City, so quick walk to the Vatican and St. Peter's. It was also a reasonable walk across the river to the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain, especially pleasant in the evening. It was also very close to a metro station, […] which helped get to/from the train station and when you couldn't imagine walking any further. However, pretty far from the airport and lots of steps in between. Only minor critiques: The room was very large, although a little dark even when all the lights were on. The bathroom was a good size, but the tub looked a little old. Breakfast was expensive, so I recommend finding a place outside the hotel. Lisateave

The Atlante Garden was just a few blocks from the Vatican and the Hop on Hop off Bus. Other transportation was nearby but we did not use that. 4 days was optimal for sightseeing. Our hotel was in a safe neighborhood and close to lots of restaurants. We could not of been happier. Hotel rooms were great.

No way was this hotel 4star, we asked for twin beds and was given a single and unable to use the bath as we were told it would flood the hotel. rooms were tiny, out dated and dark. Not what was shown on the internet

The hotel was in nice location and had some nice features but there were some big drawbacks.Our little family of four stayed in a good sized quadruple. There were big wooden shudders on the corner unit, but they did very little to keep out the noise from outside because they were not sealed. The street noise was quite loud. Our room actually shook when […] larger trucks rolled by. The room itself was nice but the good sized bathroom was in desperate need of updating. There is only so many decades of re-caulking you can do. Most the fixtures were so old they were missing handles or did not work, but what was most disturbing was that we had to fill cups of water and pour them into the toilet to get everything down. We were looking forward to a couple of days in Rome at Christmas time and the Atlante Garden seemed like a good choice, big mistake. The hotel hasn't been updated in decades, dark and flocked padded wallpaper in the rooms were terrible. Breakfast is 12€, so we went to a corner cafe for brioche and coffer for both of us for 5€ total. The internet is […] expensive and so slow, it's not worth buying. The only bad part about the hotel was the traffic outside. It did get a little noisey, but not enough to ruin our experience. The desk was courteous and accommidating, even getting a doctor for us within an hour of our request. The rooftop dinner, while a little pricey, was worth it, especially once St. Peter's dome lit up. The hotel was dark and dingy and in dire need of an upgrade. Our room was very dark, and noisy as it overlooked the street. The desk help was not helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations. The only recommendation provided was a pizza restaurant, and when I asked for a more upscale restaurant, he again recommended the same restaurant. We were very excited to stay at this hotel based upon pictures posted on Hotels.com but quickly became disappointed after arriving. Upon arrival we were surprised by the staff's inability to assist with bags or any other request, as he stated he was the only person working and couldn't leave the desk. After many hours of flying, we were anxious to get […] a cold drink and snack and quickly realized they offered nothing of the sort...no drinks or snacks for sale, no vending close by, no room service, no nearby stores. There was a small fridge in the room with a couple cans of coke but nothing else. When trying to get our bags upstairs by ourselves, we came across the smallest elevator in history. Requiring one of us to walk the stairs and the other to take 3 trips in the elevator (our 3 suitcases would only fit one a time in the elevator). When opening the door to our room it was obvious that their idea of air conditioning did not match ours.There was some a/c but you had no control over temp and it was about 82f in the room at night. Our shower leaked horribly and the room was half the size of a typical standard hotel room. The door knob didn't work to get us into the room and when plugging anything into an outlet, the device would short! Breakfast was horrible! We were forced to switch hotels after the 1st night and lost quite a bit of money, as we were booked and paid in full for several nights at this subpar hotel. Do yourself a favor....do not stay here! Loved the tall windows in my room overlooking the courtyard/magnolia tree. Bathroom was clean and very functional. Hotel was near Vatican City with shopping and restaurants nearby. Had a great stay.

Superb location- the matresses were very hard which left us sleeping poorly for several nights straight. They really need to address the issue, because other than that the hotel is wonderful. The location cannnot be beat- so close to the Vatican!

This is a no frills, good location... Not a particularly freindly Staff, room had nice appointments but cheap furniture. No ice available unless you wait for the bar tender who may or maynot have any from the kitchen. Decent breakfast NOT included.

Location-great, but don’t ask front desk managers a thing beyond a few steps outside the hotel because they have no idea/suggestions/knowledge about anything! The first day I asked for the closest grocery store and after trying to talk me into just buying from the hotel, he showed me on a map in such a careless way that I ventured for miles all the […] way around the Vatican, only to be told by 7 people I asked all the way back the store was around the corner from the hotel. I came back to the hotel dripping with sweat and dead from fatigue, he just shook his head and didn’t care after I showed him his mistake. No restaurant suggestions either. The next morning when I asked for just a café because my purchase did not include breakfast (9euro each), the woman seemed so kind by making a tray of café and then piling on some little extras from the buffet table. This happened every morning. Tipped them well for their ‘generosity’. Little did I know that at the end of the stay I’d get a random charge without any explanation for “room service” plus who knows. He had no idea either how my sum was calculated, nor did he care. Internet is 5E/hour of wifi, 8E/6hrs. I could have stayed for only a little more in one of the best hotels that included breakfast and Internet. Go that route! By the time your extras & necessities are added in, you’ve surpassed what you would have paid at a good hotel. Best part was very nice towels, air conditioning, and close to Vatican, but I thought a little expensive for a shady street and tiny room with no breakfast included.

THERE IS A LOUD BAR next door to the hotel! It is very close to the Vatican, however, the walk to the metro is a bit far if you have more than one piece of luggage. I'm staying closer to the metro next time

other than the fact that the location was within walking distance to the major attractions in Rome-we were not plesed with the hotel. Our room had an odor-noticable as soon as you opened the door-there was a sizeable stain on the ceiling and down a wall-not a pretty sight! Hotel was great! The staff was speaking English pretty fluently! Helped with all concerns that we had and arranged airport transfer for our convenience!Lobby has a very good map of the Rome and all attractions are accessible by foot! Enjoyed the stay! But it doesn't have a view, but conveniently located!

We are a family of four and requested a room with a king bed with 2 single beds. That was perfect. We could actually walk in the room as well even with all the beds. The bathroom was roomy and the towels were fluffy. I would recommend this hotel.

For the money, this is a great hotel. It is close to the Vatican and Metro Line and is within walking distance (although its a far walk) from the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps. The staff was very friendly and spoke english well. The room was larger then I expected and was comfortable, the only downside was I ran out of hot water during […] a shower, but it was because I was showering in the morning at the same time as everyone else (I took a shower the same night and had pleanty of hot water). This was a decent hotel with nice people, but this hotel had the most uncormfortable bed I've ever slept in
