It was very close to the Verizon Center which was nice for going to the Caps game. The only thing I did not like was leaving my car in the turn lane on the street waiting for the Valet to come and get. Also when we went inside the man at the front desk messed up our room and gave us a room key that belonged to the lady in front of us. The room was nice […] and clean but a lot smaller than the pictures I saw of it on the website, also our window faced out to a brick building. The website also said we would not be getting free breakfast in the morning, but we ended up getting it andit was very good! Overall it was a nice place to stay, especially if your going to an event at the Verizon center and don't feel like driving or metroing back home Lisateave

When I got there, they had only two rooms left, a handicap-accessible, and a tiny room on the second floor. Since we were prepaid, we got the tiny room. Breakfast was fine, and location was good.

I booked a room on your site that was described as having "two queen beds and a sofa bed" -- there was even a photo. I have two teen sons and they refuse to sleep in the same bed, so I specifically was looking for something that would allow them each to have their own sleeping space. When we walked into our room, it had only two queen beds -- no sofa […] bed. I immediately called the front desk and they said that their hotel ONLY has sofa beds in their king rooms. I then asked for a cot to be brought up and they said because of the room size, a cot is a fire hazard. Lisateave

I was disappointed the the room i had for a $179plus tax ,$204 it was a handicap room with less accommodation the the other rooms i wish u was told me it was s handicap room upon checking in.

Stayed here for a concert at the Verizon Center and the location was excellent. Nice bar/restaurant on site. Room clean and comfortable.

The hotel says accessible parking...but upon checking in...valet infirmed us that their parking lot was full and we had to find our own parking blocks away and pay 30 dollars to do so! No mention of the parking issue on website...next time I will go to hampton inn...hotel was clean and room was just right..would have been nice to not haul our own luggage […] blocks away...disappointed to say the least Lisateave

We came to D.C. for a concert and I found it very confusing trying to find the hotel and a place to park. The staff was more about business than customer service. It was a great location for where I need to be, but just too busy and loud.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful and professional. I stayed for 3 nights and the second night there was no hot water due to a hot water pump breaking. They refunded my first 2 nights stay and did everything they could to make the stay pleasant. Nice restaurant and Irish bar at the hotel!

This is a great clean hotel. Only about a block away from a metro subway station. Free breakfast in the morning was very good probably one of the best free breakfasts I have ever had. A superb stay at the Fairfield. Were looking for a hotel that provided a good value, and this hotel provided exactly that. An amazing value, offering spacious, clean rooms, an exercise room, newspapers, computers in the spacious, large lobby, and all-day coffee/tea/water (which was a must on chilly days). Our room gave us a pretty view down the front […] street into Chinatown and, if we looked to the right, a gorgeous church. My boyfriend then but now Fiancé spoke to the employees at the hotel which I didn't know about and wanted to have a romantic candle light dinner in the room because he wanted to proposed to me. Well we left then came back at 6:30pm and nothing was in the room. He called and spoke to the restaurant employees who said they forgot about it. Well regardless […] he did the proposal in the room and apologized that he tried to do everything perfect but it was out of his hands. We did get the food later on. The staff were without exception, very friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant and the bed very comfortable. The only shortcoming: It would have been nice if a refridgerator was included in the room. Super close to a Metro station and lots of restaurants in Chinatown. Expect typical city noise.

Perfect spot to stay after a late night concert. Close to many restaurants and the subway. Only fault I could find is that the staff did not inform us that you need to swipe your room key in the elevator in order to use it. Otherwise, I would definitely stay again!

I actually enjoyed the hotel, when I was inside the room. Based on the name of the hotel, we were expecting something in downtown DC. My girlfriend and I just went for the weekend, to see some sites and try a couple restaurants. Unfortunately, the hotel was at least a 20-25 minute walk from all of the "must see" attractions (White House, monuments, […] museums, etc). The hotel was in Chinatown, which we weren't prepared for, so most of the surrounding businesses were take-out Chinese food places. The nearest metro station (which you need if you don't want to spend lots of cash on cabs), didn't feel very safe with no police/security presence. I'd look elsewhere and try to find something closer to the attractions. Lisateave

Located in the Chinatown section of Washington, D.C. It's the perfect location if you're visiting the Verizon Center. It's literally right around the corner within walking distance (two minutes tops to get there). There are several eating locations around the corner as well on 7th Street and shopping options very nearby within walking distance. The […] hotel has a modern decor, the staff members that we encountered were professional and courteous, and the entire building was extremely clean. Here's a tidbit of information for you to consider. Valet parking is $39 per night. Garage/Self parking is located down the street for $24 per night. You also have the option of parking on the street if you're lucky enough to find a space. However, if you're unfamiliar with D.C. that may not be wise because you're sure to get a ticket whether you're parked legally or not. It's not uncommon to see three parking signs on one pole that all contradict each other. Overall, the hotel is fantastic and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm attending an event at the Verizon Center. Lisateave

The hotel was a very pleasant stay--room was clean and the front desk/valet were extremely professional. Valet parking ($33/night) was a little steep but is truly the only parking available, other than confusing street parking. The Chinatown metro is within walking distance. The folks at the desk were so helpful . the atmosphere was so relaxed and well kept. Even when the breakfast area was slammed with folks, the waitstaff made sure there was fresh food and the coffee pot was always full.

Asian-themed hotel in the middle of Chinatown, just over a block from the Metro. Plenty of Asian restaurants to choose from within a block of the hotel. Hotel staff was exceedingly nice. Breakfast was solid - on par with business hotels in this class.
