The room was what one would expect from an Embassy Suites: not super, but clean and spacious. The Breakfast buffet was very good. Nice cooked-to-order omelettes that were quite tasty. While the coffee at breakfast was very good, the in-room coffee tasted terrible. Our first night there was not enough cream and sweetener but made do. The 2nd night of […] our stay, coffee, tea, and condiments had not been replaced, we had no handtowels. Front desk had towels, but had to go to the restaurant and found a very nice waitress who got us cream and sweetener for the instant coffee we bought at a grocery store since we couldn't stomach the coffee in the room. Also, there is a $9.95 charge for in-room wifi or Intranet. And, if you use more than one device, a laptop and an e-reader as I did, you are charged for EACH device you connect with. I asked the front desk about this and the clerk said that the in-room connection does that automatically but that he would remove the second charge, which he did, but I had to go to the desk each morning to ask for it to be removed. The employees were very friendly and helpful but that they are dealing with poor "systems" that have been put in place. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience and we'd probably stay there again. This hotel is right down the road from many great destinations like Legoland, Ikea, and a TON of shopping options at the mall. Right off the highway, this hotel is very easy to find. great hotel, personal are friendly and really polite, less than a minute to check you in and even faster to check out, only complaint will be the tv remote batteries were low but they immediately change it after i reported it, overall good experience i totally will come back.

We required a late check-in. There was a sign up saying, "will return in 15 minutes." It took much longer than 15 minutes, but once we were in the accommodations were good. The visit to Woodfield Mall was great!

Great room,nice pool, great breakfasts, awsome complimentary 2 eve. hors duerves and drinks. On the downside , we ate at the hotel restaurant one evening and service was extremely slow and or orders were messed up. This was our second family stay at this location. However, we had problems with the heating system, a maintenanace man was sent to the room promptly, but it was still a while before the room was warm. The other problem was the light over the bathroom mirror was very dusty & dirty, it was if it had not been cleaned/dusted in a while. Compared with the Embassy suite downtown Chicago it was night and day. The nightlight broke and asked the front desk but no one came to fix it. The hot water in shower was scoulding and could have caused injury. There were holes in the bathroom wall. My husband and I were very pleased with our complete hotel stay at the Embassy Suites in Schaumburg, Illinois. The staff were always very cheerful, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was out of this world. We enjoyed our stay so much we were able to extend for an additional day.

Went for conference. Liked the New Orleans style although all rooms face into lobby - loud if lots of people down there! Staff was very pleasant, fantastic service during conference. Great rooms for the price.

The hotel was very loud with people on the floor above us partying late into the night. They did quiet down about 2 am after I called the desk. Reception and breakfast were good. Room furniture could definitely use some updating...I thought I had stepped back into the 1980's.

The room itself was wonderful, separate bedroom with a separate "living room." Very unique hotel. Staff was uber-friendly and helpful. The inside of the hotel is just wonderful, I will definitely stay there again, even if it's a bit out of the way to another hotel.

The hotel decor and furniture was dated and ugly. The furniture in the room was uncomfortable. The ice machine on our floor didn't work so we had to find one that did work on a different floor. For the price, this hotel was disappointing.

This weekend was planned months in advance for annual shopping trip with friends. We have stayed at the hotel several years previous to this year and had no issues, however, our recent trip was a nightmare. The room had a very strong and unpleasant odor, which was intolerable. The concern with the room was immediately brought to the attention of hotel […] management and their resolution was to bring in a room ionizer. We left for dinner and when our group came back, the smell was even more overpowering. Again, the concern was brought to hotel management. There solution was an offer to put us in a smoking room, which did not accomodate our party of five. The management then offered to find us another hotel, however, one room at another hotel would not accomodate our party of five. Our group spent over two hours in the hotel lobby (smell in room was so bad) while waiting for a resolution. After several back and forth conversations a "final offer" was made to send us to the Renaissance Hotel, but only one room. We were told it was our problem that there were only beds for four people. We were also not reimbursed prior to our departure for our pre-paid room. Fortunately, the Renaissance Hotel staff was extremely accomodating and took care of us in a way that should have been done by Embassy Suites. The outcome was good, but the frustration and lack of customer service by the Embassy Suites staff was extremely disappointing. Lisateave

I was there to surprise my husband, at mideval time and the staff was great with directions and everything and the didn't spoil the surprise! This hotel is so beautiful and the staff was magnificent!!!! Food delicious too!

While I stayed at the Embassy Suites I had trouble logging into their internet the entire time. There was also a wedding that happened right underneath me and cost me most of a night's sleep.

Great hotel.....the bathroom in the room was awful! The cleaning crew only cleaned part of the bathroom. Old soap was left in the shower. The front desk failed to tell me that they were going to charge my card up front for incidentals. Other than that I was very impressed by the hotel and location for the price.

The couch was terrible even to sit on, sleeping on it was even worse. I was very disappointed. with the mangers reception and breakfast selection. These two this are the biggest factors in me booking an Embassy Suites hotel.
