My husband and I thought that thishote would be better than the reviews that were posted before we actually booked. But I must agree with the statements about the musty smell,strong pet odors on the floors and bedspreads .The bathroom had no fans to get the many different smells out the tub had a very slow drainage and the tub felt as if we were going […] to fall straight through many things were to wrong to continue on. We will never stay there again nor send anyone there! Sorry, they really need a major overhaul since that right next to hospital. Someone is really going to get sick at this hotel and sue the company tthat owns the place. Lisateave

The exterior in far better condition than the interior. Room itself very run down, and suspect cleanliness. Did not stay 30 min...immediately forfieted prepayment and went elsewhere.
I was in town for a funeral and wanted to stay close to my friends and the hotel was in a good location, it was a nice relaxing stay for me and I will stay at the Days Inn Southside whenever I'm in Savannah,Georgia :-)
"Close to the Quilt Shop!"
This Days Inn is clean, the staff courteous and very well situated. It is right by St Joesph's Hospital but you never hear a sound! It is also close to Savannah Sewing Center~ Colonial Quilts which is fabulous! I would recommend!

Hotel was clean and only 20 minutes from downtown savannah. We stayed 4 nights and were satisfied. The only thing that I would say was a negative was the comfort of our bed. King size bed was the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept in. Other than that everything was adequate. Everything you need was surrounding the hotel too. Food, mall, grocery shopping […] was all in a 5 minute radius. Lisateave

the staff was at our room at 10:30 to clean we ask if she could come back later she said yes we were out by 11:30 when we return at 4:00 the room was still the way we left it then I had to go to the office to retain towels ect........... never again lefft no tip and the manager on duty did noting about it

This hotel is very conveniently located. Dont go expecting the Hilton. The rooms are basic but clean. The pool was small but was clean. Basically, you cant beat it for the price and location. I will definitely stay there again when I come back to Savannah.

Overall, our stay was ok. We had stayed at this hotel in the past and were satisfied. This time we brought our dog. I paid the pet fee upon arrival. The next day, after the cleaning lady came to our room, we were told that we had not paid the fee and needed to go to the front desk. Of course, the front desk person was different than the one we checked […] in with, and looked it up on the computer to see that we indeed had paid our fee. My husband was very upset because we were accused of not paying when we actually had. Our dog did not damage anyting or soil the carpet, bed, linens, etc. We believe the night clerk did not inform the cleaning staff of our dog. So when the cleaning lady found our dog in the bathroom, she reported us. This led to false accusations, and things that should not happen while at a hotel. The cleaning lady was also not very pleasant. When I came out of the bathroom while she was making the bed, I scared her because she did not realize I was there. She let an expletive come out of her mouth and did not apologize. I had to ask her for clean towels as she had not changed them. And she had an unjust attitude. I am sure that if you don't have your dog, as we did not the first time, your stay will probably go much better. Lisateave
"Days Inn Southside - Good for the money."
The hotel was what I expected for the money I spent. The room was clean, but the hair dryer was completely busted. Overall, a descent stay. I would recommend this hotel to people staying in Savannah on a budget. Just make sure you use hotels.com to make a reservation. You save about 20 bucks than if you just show up and get a room.

our room was quite comfortable and the breakfast was great compared to most. The best part is that we were there for the St. Patrick's Day parade and the location was great to be out of the hub-bub but close enough to get to the historical section within10 to 15 mins. And all of the conveniences were close by as well.

We were there just overnight. Room was clean, breakfast was good.
Not bad for the money or location but removed from downtown and the historical district. Had to have the sheets changed before going to bed!! Not bad deal though!

The location of the hotel was close to several islands around the area. However the hotel was not up to standards. The staff was very rude and unhelpful. I will not stay at this hotel again.

This was a total disaster! The room was on the back and gloomy. The guests next door had a party until after 2am. I complained to the front desk and they only came over and said be quiet...no police call or nothing! I complained the next morning about the fact that I had a child in the room listening to all the cursing and loud noise and the worker […] told me it was nothing he could do...literally. There was no more food except a burnt egg and stale cereal. I would never stay at a Days Inn, especially this one, again!! Lisateave

The hotel management were abrupt, the cleaner was poor at her job and the room left a lot to be desired, we did look at another room but it was as bad. I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it. there are other hotels in the area which are far better and less expensive.

I stayed her for one night on a Sunday. The manager had me wait for a few hours for a room even though there was one available. The first told me to in an about one hour and then when I got there I had to wait another hour. I had to wait for linen. The room was ok.

the room was nice, the only problem we had was our second bed had trash under it and the middle support had fallen off and we couldn't get any one to come and fix it, but other than that it was a good stay, if it cam down to it we would stay there again

Was not too bad, as I needed a place to stay the weekend of the marathon. The room, bed was comfortable. The cafe area was dirty and garbage pails were piling over. Maid Staff was friendly. There was a homeless man hanging around in the cafe and peeking in rooms with curtains open and tyring to see if any rooms were easy to open the door and not locked […] properly. Lisateave

Close to the two Malls. The room though, the toilet ran, the room key card half worked, room fairly dirty, found condoms in the night stand (unused) maybe included with room, noisey parking lot, fire alarm rang twice in two days, ice machine was nasty dirty, price was raised for a busy weekend in Savannah, should have been $30.00 less.
6 miles from historic distric, but for that price it is worth it, otherwise you need to pay much more at center. just right for the price, clean and quiet. would stay there again

The chairs were coming apart.Peeling wallpaper.The refrigerator did not work.I would not stay there again.

Reasonable rates, staff is very friendly. Older hotel but always clean. We stay here often. Close to restaurants.
the bathroom were very small .the tub have a sink right down the middle. shower rod have a big hole right at the top. its said two king bed ,but two regural beds. will not recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the River Front and only about 25- 30 minutes Tybee Island. However, the bedspread had dark dirty spots on it even after they "supposedly" changed the linen. The bathroom lights flickered constantly, at least the breakfast was nice. Overall we got what we paid for!

"Terrible room conditions"
-Had to request a clean pillowcase and top sheet as the ones on the bed were dirty. -Found dog poop on the floor in our room -slimy stuff on the night stand YES, you get what you pay for....but this was terrible at the cost we did paid. Hotel promised we would get our money back. So far, no refund on our credit card.

We checked into our "non-smoking" room but it reeked of cigarette smoke. After complaining, we were moved to a different room, equally disappointing but not as offensive smelling. The breakfast "hospitality suite" was dirty and not at all well-kept. The pool was so small we actually thought it was the kiddie pool. Sorry, not so great!

The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a great and safe location. I thought the rooms could be cleaner. And there was no soap or shampoo in the room when I got there. The maid woke me up during my nap at 2:00 pm to bring towels- I thought that was strange they didn't replace them during the morning cleaning.

the hotel at days inn southside savannah Ga 11750 abercorn st. We love the location because it was in town near malls etc. but cleanliness of room could have been better room smelled of cigarette smoke,when we first arrive we were giving a handicap room,then a smoking room when we reserve a non-smoking room. This was me an my wife 12th anniversary and […] my stay our stay wasn"t like we wish. we came in the room begin to wipe down toilets with hair left there and wiping down walls and lamps to kill cigarette ordor spray room with airfreshners. i use to love stayn at this motel but i think this is our last time stayn there, not trying to put no one out of a job but i rather spend my money else where to sleep. (I mean a motel is suppose to be a home away from home)and to relax not to clean.............. Lisateave

I was totally dissatisfied with this hotel. I will not be staying there anymore; nor would I recomment it to anyone. It is not well maintained. The appearance will let one know not to stay there again.

as i pulled in to the hotel the first impression wasn`t that great , but the employee on the front desk were nice and helpfull. the room and bathroom were clean and nice, microwave, coffee maker and fridge were in room and working. the frame on the frontdoor needs work done ... breakfast was not outstanding, still ok ... would book this place again […] ... "You Get what you Pay for!"
First off the hotel is in a great location and neighborhood. I think its safe to say that it was not the best stay. We requested a non-smoking room, well needless to say that whoever stayed in the room prior to my stay had smoked a pack of cigarettes a day. The room had this awful smell to it, thank goodness for Publix supermarkets across the street, […] so we went over and got cleaning supplies and air freshners. We stay a total of 4 days and 3 nights. My second morning there at the hotel we had housekeeping knock on the door yelling are you staying. It was so upsetting to hear the ladies do down the entire row knocking on doors to see who was staying. Our room was cleaned and fresh towels were given on the first night, the second night no cleaning, no new towels. We went to the front desk and we did receive clean towels. The front desk gentleman seemed overwhelmed, he did not make small talk. Just seemed as though he was in a hurry to get you out. I would not stay here again! Lisateave
"Savannah Stay"
The staff was very nice but the room was not as clean as I had hoped it would be. There was trash (coke top, old kleenex, plastic bottle) under bed from previous guest. House keepers were nice but I didn't know who was responsible for leaving the trash. Location was good for me. Pool was very small. If more than 6 people was in it at a time, it would […] be crowded.
