Homewood Suites by Hilton San Antonio Northwest - San Antonio

I do not like the idea of having to pay for things like (parking & wifi) when it's not necessary - so that's why I chose this hotel vs the other ones in San Antinio. It's along the interstate, so getting to downtown is a very easy and quick. The suites are huge!! Like an apartment plus a nice hot breakfast every morning! My only complaint: Our suite […] could have been cleaner ...there were sticky spots on the kitchen floor and areas it in the restroom corners that you could tell had not been touched in a long while. For the price, this hotel is a must for every visit to San Antonio - especially with a family or those looking to stay in a not-so-crowded hotel room. Lisateave

It took about 20 minutes to check in because according to the front clerks buddy who was in there greeting guests and hanging out he would be right back. We stayed for two nights and room was never serviced. My wife kept cleaning previous guests hair in restroom. On the bright side decent location and very spacious rooms. It was amazing! We loved the size of the room. Had tvs in living room and bedroom. The kitchenette really came in handy for dining in. And the breakfast was hot and delicious the next day. We will be sure to come stay again. Only 10 min from The Riverwalk which was very beautiful.

This hotel is in a very convenient location just off of I-10. The area is safe and well lit. The interior is well laid out and very well kept. Breakfast was well done with a good selection of hot and cold items. My only negative would be how much noise traveled up from the pool area. Traffic noise was minimal. This is a good value for the area.

This was one the best hotels we ever stayed. Everything was top notch. Would recommend for every one. We stayed here for two nights and got very good deal for our stay. Quality of service was very satisfying. One minor concern was that housekeeping didn't pick up trash for whole of stay though they cleaned the room thoroughly. Breakfast was the high […] point. Everything was very good and freshly prepared. Only thing that duration of the B'Fast being served could have been little longer, especially on the Sunday mornings. Really enjoyed our stay and the amount of room was great! It was like having your own 1 bedroom apartment. So nice to read in the living room while my significant other could sleep in undisturbed. Will be back!

The hotel location is great for shopping, avoidin heavy traffic and great eats. The hotel itself is ok. Dont expect to be blown away... The kitchen was extremely convenient for me since i was traveling with a 7 month old... They also provided a crib which is a first for me. Two thumbs up for that one...

The separated areas for the bedroom and the couch provided two of us the privacy we desired for separate sleeping areas. The living area allowed us to spend time with friends in a comfortable and spacious area. We were only there for a weekend, so we were out and about for breakfasts and dinners - not really utilizing the full kitchen. However, we appreciated […] having the option if we wanted to buy food and prepare it. We did use the refrigerator in our kitchen and the laundry facilities down the hall. Breakfast food provided downstairs was below par (scrambled eggs were tasteless while the sausage patties looked suspicious for content). Only fruit provided were bananas and apples. The Hotel was great with all the necessary amenities with one exception - choice of breakfast was poor: there was no milk & cereal for kids and the staff was not so quick in refilling the empty stations. Other than that, I would rate this hotel a great place to stay for families

This was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The room was so clean, the kitchen was completely stocked with utensils and cookware. The bed was very soft and had lots of pillows to choose from. Plenty of towels and washcloths. The breakfast was great almost every day. The eggs were artificial and the orange juice wasn't amazing but other […] than that it was very good. They had a different variety of food each day. It was as easy to find as something can be with San Antonio's outer road organization, had an outdoor pool which wasn't too useful this time of year, but looked nice. The parking was free. We stayed on the top floor to have a little more privacy and it was very very quiet even though we came in on the day after Thanksgiving. I don't think we saw a single person on our floor the entire time. It was very relaxing. I highly recommend this hotel for almost any person or group of people, but especially for couples. Lisateave

This place was amazing! It was like staying in a small apt, the rooms were huge! Were needed to check in early and they worked fast to get a room available, and they were.so friendly! We were close to six flags and sea world, driving around was easy! A bbq restaurant on the same street had extra security due to some recent car break ins, but I didn't […] feel this was.an issue. I was looking online to book a hotel within a specific price range and Homewood Suites by Hilton came up.I was a little encouraged that this hotel was going to be a typical 3 star average hotel, but I considered it 5 star! We were there to see my son who just graduated from basic in the airforce. The stay was wonderful. Brandon who cleaned our room made sure our room stayed clean every day and when my son spent the day there with us there was plenty of room to hang out an enjoy the time we had in our roomy suite. The breakfast was wonderful. I didn't have to cook at all […] in the mornings which gave me more time with my son. Tommy as always helpfull at the breakfast bar. The front desk was always there answering any questions and helping with any problems, Sarha, Phyill, and TJ were all wonderful. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the time with our son. If you are there because of the airforce basic. it is worth the 15-20 min trip to the bass. I didn;t have any problems with traffic and we had a wonderful place to let him relax on the one full day he was allowed off base. We were going to save money by staying at the carefree in next to the base but after reading reviews and now that I have seen it I am so glad I spent the extra money and stayed here. We also saved alot on breakfast because everyone could bind something they liked. . Lisateave

Ive been to this location twice in the last six months with my family on vacation. The staff is always friendly, the accommodations well kept up, and the breakfast is great (quality as well as variety). The fact that the rooms are all suites seals the deal for me.

The Hotel was nice and had kitchen, refrigerator and micro wave. It was clean and had a pool. Had no issues. Stayed with family (1 kid). I would recommend it.

Rooms were pleasant enough and bathrooms were clean. The pool is a little small and therefore crowded. There were ants on the deck area around the pool, and trash on the tables. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with a couple of items that are easily fixed with management attention.

I specifically asked for a non smoking room and I was placed in a smoking room. It smelled horrible!! All of our clothes stinks like cigarettes, it is disgusting. The hotel also smells very old and like smoke. The breakfast is not all that great either.

The personnel at the front desk lacked in personality, but the rest of the hotel staff we came into contact with were very hospitable, personable and went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed five nights with our two older children. The breakfasts were great and the evening meals were pretty good too - it was nice to have the fresh salad bar ... […] and the ladies and gentlemen preparing, serving, etc were really nice. I would have liked for the elevators to have been cleaner ... they are carpeted and it seems that very little attention is paid to keeping the floors and walls of the elevator clean ... and since there is only one elevator in the entire hotel ... only other gripe (if you can call it that) is that the mattresses were not at comfortable as other Homewoods in which we have stayed. Fitness facilities were adequate and even had a few free weights, which was nice. Overall, great place to stay with a family or even a longer business trip. Lisateave
