Orlando World Center Marriott - Orlando

Reserved and paid for a room with a description of "King and two doubles." This Marriott has no such room. Instead of doing the right thing, Marriott gave us two options pay extra $99 /night for connecting room or accept a sleeper sofa and air mattress for first night and roll away bed for subsequent nights. At 12:05AM with tired kids and a maxed out […] vacation budget with no where else to go, they had us between a rock and a hard place. This was nit the first time hotel description did not match Marriott's room types. They should have given us a connecting room for free. Maid service was very good. Pool was great. Hotel is huge. Includes many dining options and is well kept. Just wish they would have made things right based on what we reserved through website. Lisateave

All was well on the overall stay. Clean rooms, comfortable.I did ask the front desk 2 different times on how does the kids eat free package work, That is the one we had. No one could explain so we ate at locations outside the hotel.

I have been going to this hotel for many years. It is now proably 20 years old and starting to show its age, however, it is always clean and the employees are great. Great hotel for a large coproate gathering or a family vacation. The price is also competative

We stayed at this hotel for a week in January. Not only was it a beautiful hotel but in particular the staff was exceptional! If I wanted more coffee packets in my oroom, I received them. When I asked for change for the washers, it was "no problem". When I asked for a day's parking fee to be waived because we were without a car for the day, "done". […] A late checkout -"how long do you need?" -wityout charge. Although the hotel was pricey I think that the exceptional service we received made it well worth the price. I would definitely stay there again! Lisateave

Great place to stay for New Years Eve!!

Overall the hotel was nice. Our room was fairly clean, the bathroom area could have had a little more attention given to it, but wasn't bad. The hotel is large and has many amenities, but if you don't like a large complex this hotel isn't for you. Parking was more convienient than I expected. There is a 24 hr shuttle to and from the parking garage. […] I expected a $13 to $14 dollar a day parking fee, but it was free with our stay. They have several restaurants and a Starbucks on site. Spent three phenomenal days conducting business on the golf course with clients and prospects. The course was challenging and not too crowded. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only disappointment was the limited places to eat during the day before the specialty restaurants opened at 5pm. Otherwise, the stay was great. The food is excellent! Ate a quick lunch at the sports bar restaurant, and even the chicken fingers were fantastic. Solaris has a great breakfast buffet. We had the best showers in the South Tower. I wish my shower at home was that super. Easy to get to, and just a very nice hotel.

We were a bit apprehensive about this hotel given the size (2000+ rooms!) but had a really great experience. The location is great to access the theme parks, plus a great golf course on the property. Very nice pool and water slide which the kids enjoyed. Can update the decor a bit.

Mr. Marriot has hit a "homerun" with his approach to customer service. From the vallet staff ,to the room attendents ,and all in between. Smiles, always greeted, always feel everyone is eager to help you. Hotel is clean, beds are VERY comfortable, and the water is ALWAYS hot !! The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Not great, huge stain on carpet in room. slow check in, Only one restaurant choice for lunch. Functional would describe it best.

THIS IS MY SECOND TIME STAYING HERE - I LOVE THIS HOTEL - THE ONLY THING I DON'T LOVE IS THAT YOU PAY FOR EVERYTHING. YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE IN THE LOBBY AND MAYBE A FEW MORE CHOICES ON THE MENU THAT ARE ECONOMICALLY FRIENDLY OTHER THAN THAT THE HOTEL AND THE GROUNDS ARE JUST AMAZING

The Hotel was very nice. I reserved for 3 adults and 2 children. When I arrived the room they provided for only had a king bed. So I spoke to the manager and he was only able to accomidate me with a room with a queen bed and a sofa bed. We slept very bad for 2 days. Not very satisfied with the room. Our family had just returned from a 2 week vacation in Europe and were staying overnight in Orlando before driving to our home in Tampa. When we arrived at the hotel we were told all rooms with two beds were taken. It surprised me since there are so many rooms at this Marriott but there was a very large group having a reunion. We were quickly offered […] a suite with a king bed and pull out couch. our hostess at the front desk even took care of the parking fee without asking. This I felt was going beyond the call of duty to make our stay pleasant. Our only regret is that we did not schedule another day to take advantage of all the ammenities this hotel had to offer. Beautiful hotel and lovely grounds. But seriously -- do you really need to charge extra for internet access?? AND parking?? Come on! That's just too much, at these rates...

Hotel itself is ok, lots of families with kids; very nice pool area and poolside entertainment; really large as mentioned in other reviews, but we didn't mind; we didn't end up paying extra charges, but this is to be expected from this kind of hotel - I don't know what some of the reviewers are raging about. All in all it didn't disappoint.

Family of 4 looking to change up our annual Spring Break vacation routine a little bit (we normally spend the entire time with relatives in Cocoa Beach). We were very impressed and pleased with our stay at the Marriott. Service was excellent; room was very nice; beds extremely comfortable; the grounds and pools are beautiful and meticulously maintained. We […] also had dinner at the Mikado Japanese Steakhouse, which was superb, although the interior is too brightly lit and would be better served by matching the soft, subtle atmosphere of the restaurant's outside dining areas (waterfalls and lanterns outside were gorgeous). The Marriott World Center looks nice at first glance, but stay away from this hotel if you have another choice of where to stay. The second day we were there, we woke up in the morning to go out. When we came back to our room at 11:00 pm, more than 13 hours after we'd left, the room hadn't been cleaned - the beds weren't made, the towels weren't replaced, […] the garbage wasn't taken out, nothing. When we called the "customer service" line, the woman on the phone accused us of having left the Do Not Disturb sign out (we hadn't, it was hanging on the doorknob inside the room), and then after we asked for someone to come up, told us she might send someone if they had time, and then hung up on us. 30 minutes later, when no one had come up, I went down to the reception desk to ask what was going on, and I was told there was no request in the system at all for someone to come up to my room, and that the lack of service hadn't even been reported. When I told them this was unacceptable, I was told I had no choice but to live with it, and that they would send up fresh towels. The next night when we went to dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants, we were seated at a table directly under an air-conditioning vent. When we asked to move (there were several empty tables), we were told we couldn't because none of the empty tables were for 2 people. So once again, they refused to accomodate paying guests. And as all the other restaurants were full, we ended up having to order room service. Take it from me, this hotel is overpriced, overhyped, and not worth any of the money we paid for it. I will never stay here again, and will definitely think twice before booking at any Marriott Hotel in the future. Lisateave

It's our first trip to Orlando visiting Disney World & Universal Parks.....I just wish they could provide Free Transprtation to all Theme Parks I/O Charging...If you stay there & still have to pay for Taxi for parks, you might as well starying at the Disney Hotels....It's in a location that you can't walk to any of the Parks!! In general, we like there...Food […] at the Caffe was EXCELLENT & Well Priced!!! Lisateave

Hotel was way too big - had to walk a long way from the parking garage. Room was sort of dirty. Love Marriott hotels - this hotel was just too big

I thought everything was very convenient at this hotel. The restaurants were great. The pool is huge. Was very pleased with our stay.

Great hotel, great service, great pricing. Very close to all atractions.

This hotel is great for weekend getaways. Not only because of all the Orlando's attractions, but also because of its golf field and pool facilities that are amazing!!! The staff is great and the hotel is very good! Just remember to rent a car, since Orlando isn't like Manhattan and you will pay a lot with taxis!!!

Great hotel and location. Plan on paying for valet parking. Self park option isn't close to hotel entrance-5 minute walk

For the money, stay on Disney property.

The parking lot is inconviently located very far away from the actual check in desk. Walking it makes you want to never come back and the shuttle packs everyone in like sardines. Buy the time we got to the shuttle to the front door I could of walked the hike to the room. Plus they charge you an extra 14 dollars to park your own car!

The room was very basic, no bottled water, no microwave on the floor or in the entire hotel to warm our baby's milk. So basically if you have a baby or a toddler, we strongly do not recommend this hotel. The self parking lot is $** (actually $** per night after the tax...you can find the rate on their website) and will take you a good 8 minutes walk […] if you don't get lost to make it back to the lobby from the parking lot; not that we minded the walk but after spending the entire day at Disney with a baby, you will think twice about going out at again. They do have valey parking which is $** (and likely $** after the tax not including the tips...) The breakfast however was pretty good at Solaris. Also we were charged twice, initially by Hotel.com and then by the Marriott who refused to reimburse us and made Hotel.com do it (who by the way were very kind) I would recommend cheaper hotels next time because you honestly are not paying for any extra service or comfort at the Marriott. Nice hotel, parking was $15 per night and quite a distance to walk. Internet was also $15 per night, seems unnecessary when you pay a premium for a nice place. Room was fine, pool area was very nice.

This hotel is definitely not 4 stars. The service was great and the convention center is gorgeous but the hotel itself is average. The restaruants are nothing to write home about and I guess because it Memorial Weekend but, a lot of the guests were rowdy. It just seemed very loud everywhere we went in the hotel.
