We stayed here to attend the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, so we were really just here to sleep for the night, but the room was clean and spacious. We had a fireplace (which we didn't use) and a kitchen, which allowed us to grab a frozen pizza from Meijer for under $10, heat it in the oven and have a cheap meal in the room. The only complaint I would […] have is that the room we were in connected to another room (via a locked door) and we could hear everything they were doing over there. The neighborhood seemed to be fairly nice with a fair amount of other businesses within a couple miles for anything you need. Lisateave

The inside of the room was very nice, and well cleaned. However, upon arrival, our room keys did not work. We went to the front desk several times and ultimately needed an employee accompany us to our room and unlock the door with a master key every time we wanted into our room for the first night and morning of our stay-- which significantly limited […] our ability to come and go. Later in our stay, our keys stopped working again. The breakfast appeared to consist of powdered eggs and a meat option. The fruit, yogurt, and healthier options were consistently out and not restocked. The outside of the hotel was in disrepair and in serious need of repainting. This property is not in the same shape as it was a few years ago under the Marriott brand. Maintenance, overall appearance, and upkeep are definetely suffering since this property was sold. Staff was helpful and polite but the quality of the property and rooms has definetely decreased.

Very nice employees and nice breakfast and good location but condition of maintenance on the room was bad. Design of the building was poor and allowed too much noise from adjoining rooms

The first night we checked in late but was very suprised when we walked in to our room. It was very nice to get to have a fire place and a kitchen and not have to go broke doing it. Nice size room and location wasn't bad. Second day we found a dirty soup spoon in are clean dishes and it was very clear that it was used for drugs. We also found out the […] hard way that this hotels are known to be a spot for parties. The people above us were so so noisy. They even came and pounded on are door after we called the front desk on them. All night long they were draging chairs across the floor and crashing things. Could not sleep. Lisateave

The rooms and the staff were excellent.The rates were very reasonable and the food, while not great, was a very generous feature.We thoroughly enjoyed having two bedrooms and bathrooms, a great kitchen, and a a cozy ,comfortable living room.We would have liked to have stayed longer.

Every time the heater went on during the night, the noise was so loud it woke us up, so we had a terrible night of sleep.

Great room - lots of space. The full kitchen was terrific! It was only 15 minutes away from Downtown Grand Rapids. Breakfast was a little on the sad side, but overall a great hotel for a great price! Will definitely stay here again.

Some of lights in bathroom did not work. Was very happy that they provided us shuttle service to airport at 4:20AM!!

We needed a place for the night and when you can get a suite for the same price as a regular room I thought why not. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was nice with a good assortment of hot and cold items. The general condition of the buildings needs work. Our furnace ran all night long, smoke detectors were hanging out of the ceiling and light […] fixtures hanging by the wires as well. It was very nice.. It was surprised it even had a dishwasher in the room. I would stay there again for sure.. Was doing a show downtown Grand Rapids. Only took 10 minutes to get there. Better than paying over $200 a night for just a room... You wont be disappointed

To be able to have a queen suite with full kitchen for less than $100 was great. The hotel appears to have been converted from an old apartment complex, which is a neat idea, and was very quiet as a result. Our non-smoking room did smell like smoke though and the central heating system was a little over-eager.

Children running, jumping, and screaming the floor above us until at least 2:00 am... that's when I turned on the furnace fan to muffle the sound. The room was clean and comfortable. The area is very busy (between two shopping malls) I would not stay at this location again.

First day was rough. They had recently upgraded their wifi and staying connected was rough. That is pretty much my only issue. Awesome location, staff was very friendly, very nice studio style apartment. Fully equipped. Loved the fire place. Lots to do and see in the area. Oh and HOT FRESH KRISPY CREAM DOUGHNUTS ACROSS THE ROAD. LOL.

The meetings we were attending were downtown but the hotels downtown are expensive.The TWO BEDROOM suite was ideal for two guys traveling on business and was very reasonable.

1. The Walsh were knee deep with ice and snow. 2. Hair in the bathroom sink. 3. The bathroom floor was grimy and dirty along all molding. 4. Leftover coffee was in the kitchen pot. In summary thos reflected alack of attention to cleanliness.

I thought it was pretty neat to have an experience like that for a hotel with a loft 2 beds, 2 baths, for a mid level family that was a cool thing.

Not at all as depicted. Streets and sidewalks in bad condition, and covered in snow and ice (even though it had not snowed in 36 hours). Mattress must be 20 years old, and pillows terrible. Do NOT depend on the hotel's airport shuttle - we had an early flight, and checked twice at the desk to confirm the shuttle. It was not there, and no one would accept […] responsibility. This is actually a decent place however they have no concept of service. I went there to hang with friends and to take in a concert or two. The rooms are very spacious felt like home and the bi or split levels is a plus especially if your looking for privacy but it snowed the day before I arrived and they didn't have the man power to clean up the ice […] and snow. Imagine being in heels and trying to walk on mounds of ice and snow. But the set up they have is worth me giving them a second chance. Lisateave

Fromt desk personnel was excellent------making reservations was terrible----It took 5 trips to the front desk to get into a room---the 1st room's door would not open hense the numerous trips---front desk personnel finally had to give me a different room---it should be mentioned that the temperature was close to zero

I don't think they have finished all the remodeling but they need night stands and lamps by the upgraded king bed in our suite. It was little things that were missed. No headboard on the bed and an odd large table in our room. Curtains between room could be updated or better yet put in French doors. Young lady at the front desk was hopeless at Expedia […] reservations and booked someone else for our last night at the hotel. Glad I wasn't that lady but was alarmed by a call from front desk that we had to get out. I think she figured out her error and we did stay put. Also, when Michigan gets five inches of snow it would be nice to have the outside steps shoveled. Other than these little things we really loved the hotel and location. Great location. Right near gas, starbucks, stores and civilization! Prices were fantastic for a room and they are basically studio apartments with a kitchen. They have a free buffet breakfast which was nice and the staff was courteous. They even had fire logs to buy for $5.00 if you wanted to use the fireplaces in some of the rooms. Rooms were older […] and couches looked old. Other than that, there is a mini kitchen, plates and glasses for you to use (I would highly recommend washing them thoroughly or bringing your own). Internet connection was good, water pressure good and heat/air worked well. Overall, not a bad stay. I would recommend it and will stay there again. Lisateave

This should be a rent by the hour hotel. Great for hookers and the homeless, all others should AVOID. They did not honor the reservation, gave me a room ( smoke filled ), instead of the non smoking 1 bedroom suite I paid for. The room was not clean ( used soap in the shower, sheets were not clean ). Condition was poor ( furniture had cigarette burned […] holes, AC was 80 db+, tv was cracking due to poor wiring ). Room service did not touch the room during the stay ( no clean towels, no trash removal, etc ). Lets hope I don't have bed bugs from this experience. Lisateave

I had chosen this hotel because of a great experience with Wyndam before. This particular hotel was a smudge on Wyndam's name, however. The first room (that's right) was like walking into a smoke shop. The staff was great about switching me immediately. My second room wasn't much better in terms of left over smoke smell. The floor was dirty. The couch […] was suspect due to certain stains on it, and the thermostat was broken--a necessity when it's 0 degrees outside. Beds were uncomfortable, too--but who could sleep well after all the other stuff? Perhaps the greatest letdown was coming in one day and finding toilet paper floating in he toilet from the housekeeping staff earlier that day. Thoroughly disgusting! Wi-Fi was a must and worked well. And the price was great for the budget traveller such as myself. But I would not recommend this hotel for anyone and woul encourage you to spend a few more dollars for a better one in town. Lisateave

I got to the hotel and checked in, when I got to the room the swipe card did not work so I went back to the front office while my boyfriend stayed at the room. The woman made 2 more keys and by the time I made it back to the room another employee let my boyfriend in. The young man was talking on a walkie talkie with the woman from the office and she […] told him to check the second set of keys and they did not work either. She then told him to leave his key and he took the second set back with him. We needed to be somewhere at 8pm and now it's 8:40 pm so we put our things in the room and left. When we returned at 2:45am we were unable to enter our room for the 3rd time, went back to front office to get more keys and guess what they didn't work either. Back to the office and the employee said that he could not get in contact with the handy man or the manager. He offered us another smaller room for the night and that was the best he could do, and I had to decline because all of our luggage was in the room that we could not get into. I told him that we had to get in the room because I needed my medication and he said there was nothing he could do. I asked if there was a master key and he got all of the housekeeping keys and came back to the room. WOW the door opened with the housekeeping key, as he started back down the staires I asked him for the key and he said that he coulden't give me on and if I needed to leave to come back to the front desk and they will let me in. HOSTAGE!!!! Lisateave

Although there is no truck parking, for the driver that works out of the Grand Rapids area and gets layed over for the night, this is an excellent place to stay. Close to shopping, excellent restaurants, and very clean rooms. Awesome showers to boot at a very good rate compared to some of the other establishments in the greater GR area.
