The hotel was good, with a great pool & fitness center. Having Carrabba's next door made dinner easy. Not much within walking distance, really need a car.

While room was clean & staff service helpful and curteous, I think this one in Peabody tries too hard to be 'stylish' at the expense of real functionality - no draws in room other than 2 shallow ones like a desk draw, 2 ottomans given in a already-crowded room size, and NO SHUTTLE SERVICE AT ALL.

They cleaned the coffee out of the lobby by 9AM. No free breakfast, no newspaper. Things we are used to when traveling. They must cater to people who are at conferrences there or something.

Room was clean, beds were small (full size instead of queen size) but comfortable. Hotel is older so the room doors did not close easily and walls were thin, it was noisy at times. Breakfast was not great and certainly not worth the extra $10. Staff was extremely nice though, pool area was OK.

Nice, very clean room, friendly staff at the front desk. I have no reservations to recommend this hotel. The price was a bit high, but we booked it at the very last moment for the Salem celebrations, so it was kind of expected.

The room we booked was not what we recieved,construction was going on next door,and we smelled paint and whatever all night. We booked thru expida so they could care less,and we paid more thru expida then people comming in off the street,between expida and the hotel it was terrible

Overall the hotel is very clean and staff is very helpful. The one double bed mattress wasn't good at all whereas the other one was perfect. Besides a sore back, everything was fine.

When I travel I stay at Holiday Inns. I've always been welcomed as a member and there has always been complimentary coffee and snacks. There was no mention of being a member and, at this particular HI, there were no amenities at all.. Just a room and bed... I expected a lot less from a Holiday Inn. It was updated, clean and very comfortable. It far exceeded my expectations and I imagine probably is a lot better than other options in the area, particularly for the price.

Would never return. Two wash clothes for three girls. An air conditioner that smelled of urine (had to be turned off). No breakfast. A $3 charge for a 6 oz cup of tea/coffee. No newspaper delivered to the door. A vibration beneath our room on and off. Way out of the way from Boston U.

Everything was fine except one thing,, they had no ice on the phone and told me to go to another floor to find it.. So i had to go from the 2nd fl to the 4th.. was not happy about that.. Especially when we go into the hotel late in the evening.

Hotel was ok, with friendly staff. A little expensive to get to the the Hotel, $60,- from the BOS Logan Airport with Taxi....Used "North Shore" Taxi going back to the Airport & fare was only $35,- "North Shore will pick up at the Airport, but you must call ahead to arrange.(978)532-2222

Everything was according to plan. A little difficult to get into the parking lot the first time, hotel; was easy to miss and due to the nature of the roads, missing it becomes problematic.

It is about 20 miles north of downtown Boston right off Route 1N. Hard to merge into traffic from hotel onto Route 1N. Room is nice size but no frills. Elevators are old & very slow. Four (4) ice machines did not offer ice for over an hour. Front desk said they were re-charging. Housekeeping was loud and woke us up at 8am when we were supposed to check […] out that day anyway since only one night stay. Did not receive our 7:30am wake-up call at all. As expected. For a mid range hotel, a good choice. Not quite the quality of a Hampton Inn, but pretty close. My understanding is that ALL Holiday Inns were upgraded a few years ago, so you can count on a pretty nice room now.

Hotel was okay, except layout made no sense. I had to walk all the way around the floor from my room to get to an elevator that would take me to the lobby. The staff were polite butt kinda snooty, and it was way overpriced to not even serve complementary breakfast.

Finding the hotel was a bit of a struggle, until I figured out it was on the North side of the separated highway. Staff was helpful once I arrived, and even volunteered directions to things in the area. The front desk great--even when I enquired about toothpaste they offered to have it dropped at my room, which they did so with a smile. There was […] no information in the room about the hotel or the surrounding area. The breakfast request and menu for the next door Carabbas were crumpled--these ought to be fresh for appearances at least. My breakfast the first morning was delivered an hour and a half earlier than requested, so I was still asleep when they came knocking! I take medication which makes me groggy if I don't sleep a full night, so I couldn't eat when it arrived--I had to lie back down for the last hour, by which time my food was cold. They didn't replace my breakfast request door hanger, so I didn't have the opportunity to request breakfast in advance for the rest of my stay. Not a major deal, but a little disappointing that 1. I didn't get to easily place an order and 2. I didn't get to give them the opportunity to correct the mistake from the first day. The room itself was average. The carpet appeared to be vacuumed, but was stained and clearly very old. I doubt its cleanliness. The bathroom smelt mildewy--the towels themselves seemed clean, and they had linen shower curtains, so I suspect it may have been only shower curtain, but it was unpleasant nonetheless. Lisateave

The bed was very comfortable, with great soft sheets. Bathroom towels were soft and fluffy, and the bath towels were exceptionally long. I travel a lot and I very rarely find that. So thank you!

As a person who usually stays at hotels with a more "upscale" reputation, I am happy to say that this hotel matched or exceeded all of my expectations. The bath towels, toiletries and bedding (except for the pillows, which were too large for my taste; I prefer "barely there" feather pillows), were superb. The price that we paid by making the reservation […] through Expedia was actually much lower than the published price for our room, but I believe it would have even been worth the regular price. Clean room, great amenities including indoor pool and fitness center, wi-fi, and great on-site Italian restaurant made up for the busy Route 1 location. No fridge or microwave in the room! Room was clean except there was a beer bottle cap by the bed. Housekeeping is obnoxious, however. Check out time is 12 o'clock. They knocked (and entered!) at 9:40am, 10:25am, AND 10:50am!!! I opened and told the maid that we will be gone at 12 and she told me to call the front desk to tell them. Huh???
